I dont know why people are commenting bad about it.I purchased this phone yesterday(24 March 2015)
I'm reviewing this phone apart from technical specifications.
I've been using this phone almost continously for over 20 hours and charged it once to full(still 75%). Battery is good,if smartphones can stay awake for one whole day with 2-3 hours of gaming and 4-6 hours on wifi,for me I can call it good battery backup.
Though it doesnt have full htcsense UI but 820s is still better than 820 because it can upgrade to lollipop unlike 820.
I haven't played any big game like asphalt8 or Fifa but still I've been multitasking with zero problem.
As far as camera is concerned it works best in day light but grained images at low light.
Sound quality is good with dual speakers.
If you're planning to buy 820s then go for it. There's nothing you can ask for mid range phones.
P.S. I've taken around 45 min. in writing this review and battery is still 75% and I'm listening songs too. Arre abhi toh Party shuru hui hai.. :)

suhas, 24 Mar 2015which one is better chip set, snap dragon or mediatek?Obviously Bro Snapdragon is better. Mediatek is cheaper one and mediatek one htc desire 820s dosent supports htc sense.

I already know how the camera performance from 820 (snapdragon version) review. Nothing fantastic about the image quality. So if you want the best phone camera please look for something else. The only time the phone heated when I use it with Waze driving in hot day which is quite normal. Even my other phone Lenovo s930 will heat up in similar condition. No heat issue even when continously using it for web browsing or playing game or playing 2 hours video. If you ask me what phone I will buy today probably I will go for Lenovo P70. The 4000mAh battery is a huge advantage. But it has smaller 5inch screen. It even use same processor as 820s. Just my opinion. The serious disadvantage for 820s is the small 2600mAh battery (by today 5.5inch screen standard). Be prepare with power bank if you need to work over time or go out from home after office hour. For me the processing speed alone is enough for me to disregard the small battery disadvantage.

The camera has real 13mp full resolution, but when you take the initial picture the setting is set to 8mp, so need to change the setting first. No real benefit from the 13mp camera. No significant improvement from my last 2 phone with 8mp camera Lenovo s930 and Huawei P1. In low light condition the picture will come out with a lot of noise grain but still comparable /not worse than my older phones. Even the front 8mp suffer from a lot of noise grain in low light. The good things are ; fast camera activation about 1-3 seconds and very fast saving to memory.

1) Facing volume issue (Call volume and Ring tone volume).
2) Camera is ok ok.
3) Memory - Showing 16GB but available 12.24GB
4) OS - Using Kitkat (Lollipop) is not available for the same.
5) Battery - Need to charge 2,3 times in a day :P .
6) Processing speed is fast
7) Good looking phone.
