my HTC desire eye phones has 16gb storage yet I can't install things because it has over 11gb used up space by 'others' and less than 3gb containing apps, video and photos
what could be the 'others'

Had this phone for three years since release. purchased mostly due to the AF high quality front camera with flash. i will conclude that it was the best Phone i ever had, moved to it from LG G E975K/Nexus. the HTC Desire EYE had flag ship level processing unit, and phone was Snappy and amazingly even after more than Three years feels as Snappy as on day one. the only issues i had with was the limiting 16GB internal storage which became an issue after the upgrade to Android 6. never had issues with the 2GB ram. this phone took very nice videos of lives shows and sound recording quality was better than in some prosumer video cameras. Battery Life after Three years is decent, though after this time it needs to be charged slightly faster, i didn't expect this device to be so good. due to the 16GB internal storage, finally after three years i upgraded to Nokia 8. which (Together with XA1 Ultra) has the only decent Autofocus Selfie camera. Sadly HTC never made HTC Desire Eye 2. i waited and waited but only U's with no AF selfie cameras came out. and Now my Nokia 8 beats U11 in every benchmark and in every photo. Wake Up HTC. you had an amazing phone and design in your arsenal and it could make underwater photos too.
