I have had this phone now for 10 month, I loved it, every single part about it. But now it has don't send error on camera and other apps can not even recognize that I have a camera. Can't decide to buy a new Eye or not, amazon won't take it back nor repair. xD

Asif, 17 Sep 2016which is better HTC desire EYE or LG nexus 5X ??Of your into selfies or waterproofing, then this is you're phone. If you want a fingerprint scanner or stock android, then the nexus 5x. Or there's also the blu pure xr and moto g4 plus that are awesome as well

Hey,i updated my htc version (not sure which version ) and my camera stopped working,i tried everything possible like flashing it twice but didnt work..any ideas how to go about it?.

Alright guys...in the review they give the desire eye a really good endurance rating and they say it lasts around 10 hours of web browsing.....but I guess it was still on KitKat
Now in your opinion as actual users of the phone for some time now...is the 2400 battery that good on KitKat, and how about on marshmallow??
I'm a very light gamer I mainly use my phone in browsing the web and listening to music

I have this phone for a year and it works perfectly. I bought it naked (the phone, not me) and it has run Android 6.0.1 for a while now.
Photos are great, selfies too (even underwater), but only with a good luminosity. In a dark room or by night, it looses a lot in quality.
I have a 32GB model with a 64BG card, it's pretty comfy.
It has fallen a lot, but still 100% alive. It is far better than the One M7 and exactly like the One M8.
Light issues :
It goes hot easily when I'm playing a game and charging it at the same time, but it doesn't burn my fingers like the old One X. Same in the car, during summer with GPS, bluetooth music and charging. It generally stops charging and displays an alert on the battery icon. I usually unplug it for 30/60 minutes when it occures. I insist, it is not a big problem.
On the M7 model, I have a color issue on the camera : everything seems pink when I'm indoors, but it comes back to normal outdoors. I had it ONCE a few months ago on the Desire Eye, and it has never come back
I recommend this phone BUT :
+ HTC are a bit slow in Android updates
+ There is 95% of chance that there will be no more Android update (it means no Nougat)

I really like my phone, I've had it almost a year now. I am now having issues with the battery, it get's warm even when not in use. It also looses charge quickly. I have deleted apps I installed, that seemed to help a tiny bit. It's 100% when I go to bed, in the morning it's like
52%. Someone suggested I get the battery replaced by a professional. Any suggestions on where I could find the battery online?

I have used this phone for 17 months and I LOVE IT! Everything has been working correctly so far.
It has Gorilla Glass 3 which makes it scratch resistant. I dropped it several times but its screen never cracked. Its body is made of plastic, so some places of it is either scratched or crushed a bit. 16 GB of storage is not really enough, thus I bought 32 GB external memory and only 6 GB of it is used; it's enough for at least 5 years from now.
I have upgraded the software to Android 6.0.1. I tested the performance benchmark using Antutu after this upgrade and the result was 59,000. Both cameras are doing an amazing job at the daylight. But, there are some things that I don't like about its camera. It doesn't focus correctly sometimes especially when you are taking a photo of a small stuff and keep the camera close to it. It doesn't make good shots at night either.
The performance is very good. Desire Eye almost doesn't freeze. I am able to play any game on it.
When it comes to battery, it is not as good as Note 3's battery. A year ago I compared their battery and Note 3's were almost 1.5 times more durable than my Desire Eye. But I never feel like the percentage is decreasing too fast, so the battery is ok!
The phone doesn't get hot in winter, but when it comes to summer, the usual max temperature can be 40'C.
The water resistance is doing a great job. I can take it two the shower with me and I wash it under water just like dishes.
