Hi Guys, been watching the ongoing slagging match going on between Iphone4, HTC DesireHD, Samsung Galaxy and Nokia N8 for a while now, hoping for some clarity as to which one to go for now my current contract on a Nokia 5800 has finished.
I'm not a troll (unlike many on here by the looks of things!) but could someone please clear one thing up for me -
I know about the antenna issue on the Iphone - wouldn't be a problem for me as it would be in a case of some sort anyway, but am concerned still about its performance as a PHONE in areas where the signal might be a bit weaker. Some phones just seem to cope better with weak signals than others (my 5800 is good with them, which is why I'm looking for something with similar performance)
I spend a lot of time away from home, and the wife would kill me if she couldn't get hold of me because my new phone wasn't as good as my old one!
Any constructive guidance (how your phone compares signal wise to previous models, especially if you've had a 5800 before so can compare directly) would be gratefully received.

I don't care which brand of phone I go for, have never been loyal to a manufacturer, simply to whatever is best at the time. The only caveat is that it would be on Vodafone, as they are by far the best service provider in the areas I work.

Will probably be posting this query on the forums of the other phones involved in this decision, although there appears to be a lot of owners who check out all the top model forums anyway!

    Thanks in advance.

Why? Because it's going to be very expensive. Imagine if all the applications are in the mobile phone and works perfectly ... do you think the mobile shops will just sale it for peanuts?

Another thing to remember the suppliers or the manufacturers won't be able to make high profits if they create a perfect mobile phones. Nobody will buy them as it will be very expensive in the retail mobile phone outlets. It's all business.

Come to think of it ... it's very hard to cope up with the mobile phones nowadays ... the technologies have been changing every 6 months in the market.

So let's all be thankful and appreciate that we were able to buy such a gadget ... after all as long you'll be able to call from a-z as well as do sms.

No offense but this is a great mobile phone just a matter of getting hang of it and getting use to it. After all, there's no such as a perfect mobile phone. There's always a pros and cons.

You need to go back to where you bought it and replace it. It's a good phone really the only thing worries me are the battery life and the audio. That's about it other than that it's a fantastic phone.

How do you set the phone to ring and vibrate? It doesn't seem to vibrate. There are 3 options to select: normal, vibrate and silent. I opted for normal and thought it will ring and vibrate.

I might have overlooked something. Please advise. Thanks.

This phone is just awesome. Iphone 4 is simply plebeian technology. If you have a high IQ, and a high end job buy this phone. If you're not the smartest, and require an OS a 5 year old can use, then get an Iphone 4.

Its one of the best phones in the market..infact the best one so far. I was not at all a touch person and was into nokia but changing the style and coming over to HTC Desire HD was the best choice I made. Its faster, Smooth and love the screen colors and HD resolution.I love the HTC sense part on website where I can locate my phone and forward my calls and msges to my new number, as well as the backup being stored on line ,, so no worries of creating a backup on pc.
