HTC Desire P goes official, exclusive for Taiwan's Chunghwa

01 April, 2013

HTC Desire P and Desire Q leaked a few days ago with official pictures and specifications. We already knew those two mid-rangers will be either Chinese or Taiwanese exclusive.

Today HTC Desire P appeared at the HTC's official website for Taiwan. It features a 4.3-inch Super LCD2 display and is powered by the Qualcomm MSM8225 Snapdragon S4 Play chipset with a 1GHz dual-core Cortex-A5 processor, Adreno 203 graphics and 768MB of RAM.

The rest of the Desire P specs include an 8MP camera with LED flash and WVGA video recording, 4GB internal storage expandable via a microSD card slot and the usual connectivity package - quad-band GSM, dual-band HSPA, Wi-Fi, GPS and Bluetooth.

Strangely enough, there is no official info on the Android version ticking inside. The previous leak suggested 4.1 Jelly Bean, while some of the sources points to 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich.

HTC Desire P will available soon exclusively via Chunghwa Telecom in Taiwan for about €280. There is no word whether this phone will escape the Taiwanese borders.
