HTC doubles available Google Drive storage for new owners

02 September, 2014

HTC doubled the available Google Drive storage for new owners of its high-end and mid-range smartphones. Going forward, users will have 100GB available free of charge for two years. To redeem the offer, you need to simply launch the preloaded Google Drive app on the respective device.

The offer is valid with most of the Taiwanese manufacturer’s high-end and mid-range devices. The list includes HTC One (M8), HTC Desire 816 and Desire 610, and HTC One Max.

Furthermore, HTC will treat owners of its 2013 models to 25GB of free Google Drive storage when they update to Sense 5+ or Sense 6. The list includes HTC One (M7), HTC Butterfly S, HTC One mini, and HTC Desire 601.

HTC’s move aims to keep its device’s competitive as the company’s rivals prepare to launch their fall device lineups. Currently, the company also offers free display replacements in the United States for the first six months of ownership through the HTC Advantage program.
