But the difference I that there are 2 kinds of EVO's EVO 3d x515m and EVO 3d x515a. And the difference is the bands. The first is the American version and the second is the European and Latin version.

It's the camera ,
Htc evo 3d , 5mp , does 720p video
2x does 8mp , 1080p video
The camera is a big difference although the evo 3d takes faster pics ,and got 2 led flash
If you care about the camera a lot , then don't choose evo 3d ,because 5mp 720p is not 8mp full hd 1080p , not as good

Well you already know the hardware difference and you say you don't care about 3D
Then why even confused which one to get ?
I mean compare the LG optimus 2x and the htc sensation xe , not the 3d one because its all about the 3d stuff Compare the LG with a phone of the same "class"
-htc sensation xe got :
1,5ghz dual core
768mb ram
Beats earphones
4:3 inch ,
8mp camera with stereo sound (2 microphones)
Etc
LG optimus 2x got
1,0ghz dual core
512mb ram
Hdmi
Nvidia tegra 2 chipset
8mp camera
To give you my opinion as I have the htc evo 3d and the Lg optimus 3d (same size ,same front camera , same programing ,same basics as the 2x) , go for a htc phone , htc sense adds so much to the phone!
Please check the htc site ,and see what htc sense is all about "detailed " , others phones don't have it
LG optmimus 2x is to big in the hands , crappy front camera , small screen .... ,you will get bored of it fast .

Plzz i wanna know when ics android 4.0 upgrade will be available for evo 3d?? Htc have done an amazing thing creating this phone i had it 4 three months now its perfect!! Great build quality unlike the plastic s2 ...but they made us sick waiting for the ics plzz realese it

i finally bought this phone and yes, i just love it.it's a great upgrade from SE Live with Walkman..but i'm curious cause my friend has an evo 3D as well, but the back casing of hers is a little different, the copper color on mine around the camera lens, hers is red..was it a different release from this one?cause from what i know, evo 3D only has one color..does anyone know about this?

I have been reading reviews and comments on HTC Evo 3D and LG Optimus 2x for about a week now and I am still not decided what to go for? Both will get ICS, HTC has a bigger screen and a higher resolution but LG Optimus 2x has better results in all benchmark tests. I do not care about the 3D experience, but mainly about hw specs.
Is there anyone here that that "played" on both devices? I am not interested in hard fans that will just promote their favourite brand just because it's theirs.

Simply Amazing...So much complaints about this device, I thought of giving it a test run. On my first charge since I bought last week with moderate usage it last about 8 hours. After that I charged it for 6 hours and kept it unused for 3 days x 24 hours...emails and messages with market place kept buzzeringg but I never used it. Friends, I still have about 30% battery left. If there would have been a fault with the device or battery it would have died out in a day. I had done same test on Samsung Galaxy S2 when I newly bought it last year. It did not last 2 and half days. EVO 3D is a masterpiece.
