I'va had my screen cracked and had to have it fixed by HTC... Had to send it there and took about 3 weeks to get back! Now, 2 weeks later, the power button stopped working and it seems this has been known to happen on the N1. HTC is probably the poorest company out there when it comes to repair and customer service. Will never buy an HTC ever again and wish I haden't in the first place.

This phone is by far the best phone i have ever used. My only concern is the limited onboard memory and no front facing camera. Not that its a big deal, just good to have it. Other than that, i absolutely LOVE this phone and wasnt even fazed when the iphone4 came out. (have that too in the household)
I would highly recommend this phone to everyone. I may sound like a fanboy foaming at the mouth but i used to be a diehard Nokia fan before this. I was really impressed by HTC and Google.

Sam, 18 Sep 2010Can anyone enlighten me about the build quality of Nexus On... moreIm holding one in my hand right now and it is the most sturdy phone I have ever held. I've used the G1,HD2,Galaxy S,Mytouch Slide,and all versions of the iPhone and this phone feels more solid than any of the others.

Can anyone enlighten me about the build quality of Nexus One. Is it as good as HTC Legend or is it plasticky as Samsung Galaxy S I9000 ?

i understand your frustration. not every product is perfect. there will be a piece out of every 1000 which annoys the user. may be you got that piece. it completely depends on you. i myself bought this in my trip to US, its almost 10 months and this phone is rock solid. i'm in love with this phone.
and when it comes to service, you are right, HTC should have responded in a much better way.

rubbisshhh.. I purchased this handset while my trip to US and with in a week the phone created lot of problem it use to crash every second so i made a complaint and after a long of chase with HTS service center and finally they replaced the motherboard of the phone and returned it back and again after the use of 20 days the phone is dead again... I am so annoyed with Google and HTC that they have created a paper weight for 550 $ and when i asked for replacement of handset they say as per policy they can only provide refurbished handset.....after paying 55$ you get a refurbished handset which is cheating.. DONT BUY THIS Phone..

It's so cool to see the nexus one still at the top of it's game after it's been released so long ago (in terms of technology).
I can now record video's @ 720p (1280×720 pixels) with it at a stable 27fps.
The android system and the fact that it's completely open without ANY interference from manufacturers or carriers makes this phone as versatile and as customizable as you want it to be.
I now have 120 applications installed on my phone with over 60MB internal memory left (and option to install to SD card) AND I have another 50 or so apps in backup which I can restore at will.
In short, the 1Ghz processor and (always, automatically) newest android version still make this phone the fastest/best android phone around.
And android is the best mobileOS around, but depending on what you want from your phone, that could be iOS (apple) for you.

Hi all, I need to buy N1. Please give me some reason to make me fixed for this phone. btw, can we change the battery if it is broken? i need to compare N1 and iphone 3Gs/4. Especially about the battery. Thanks all.

Hi Umer,
I'm using Google Nexus One (Froyo) and I don't meet any problem about Video Recording. May be your software are corrupted. You should try to use another Video Recording Software to find out the reasons.

is anyone having problems making videos? when I make video I can't get audio with it, it makes video clips without audio, no voice.. is anybody having problems like this?? or does anyone know how to fix this. I have Android 2.2. in 2.1 I didn't have this problem. any help would be appreciated Thanks
