I would suggest the following to drastically improve battery life
1.) Use the htc power widget (has wifi, bluetooth, autosync, gps and screen brightness buttons in one row)
2.) The screen brightness button has 3 modes, off=minimum brightness, auto and max... use minimum when indoors and at night (more than enough) auto/max when outside...
3.) Use the mobile network/wifi buttons only when required (no use keeping them on overnight)
4.) Switch on the internet connection, update FB, twitter, news etc then switch internet off
My battery status is at 26% after 48 hours
I've used the gps for 10-15 min, internet for 45+ min, sent about 30-40 msgs and was on calls for about 20 min..
Trust me, the screen brightness makes a lot of difference

My friend has Galaxy SL and i previously had Galaxy Ace. Now i have Incredible S. Id say Incredible S has a better screen than Galaxy SL. The difference is not that big though. Still, the superAMOLED of Galaxy S is still better than Incredible.

In between Samsung I9003 Galaxy SL and the HTC incredible S...which has a better screen quality viewed with naked eye and what about the overall experience when compared. Honest answer pls, dont be a fanboy.

arc is better than incrdbl s in som points.like camera,hd video etc.bt wen it comes to display increble s has much better viewing angles and sense ui is cool too.bt most ppl prefer arc.for its look,and camera.both r gud bt arc is better.

my last phone was an se x10 and still I chose the incredible s over it.
I have used both extensively and am giving rudely unbiased info.
you are correct about the camera though the HTC camera is still very good.
sound quality of music on the HTC is much better too (in headphones, has amazing sound)

The arc also has issues with the housing cracking. I think the incredible s is a much better phone overall.

Although I haven't used any of it, few things are very clear from the reviews. SE Arc camera is better in quality than Incredible S, also the screen is slightly better. Lookswise too Arc is slightly ahead of Incredible S.
However the pixel density & camera resolutions are same.
Incredible S has better RAM & has a secondary camera too. Also the HTC sense is really good.
In short it depends on personal taste. You will be a winner with any of these devices. If you are into lot of photography then go for Arc, but if you want performance & good user experience go for Incredible S.
