if you upgrade the OS with a new version the crash is fixed or it crashes no matter the new os

I am planning to buy dis phone... Plz any one tell me that it can play .avi/divx/xvid videos??? coz i like to watch movies on the go.. Many told dat DesireHD playes good than Incredible S.. Plz suggest on this..
