Don't use task killers! They actually contribute to battery drain! Just turn off mobile data and wifi if you don't need it, itll save a lot more battery that way.

Actually I have turned off the wireless and the mobile network until I need it. I have downloaded games when wifi is on and as soon as they are done downloading I turn it off and still can play. Right now as I sit I am going on 2 full days of not having to charge my Inspire, but I have talked to many people and played stupid zombie for a few hours each.

Also, it's advised to use JuiceDefender and JuicePlotter from Android Market to help with battery standby time and tracking issues. I have nearly 3 days standby with this phone, an improvement over the original 6-8 hours.

A very good phone with an exceptionsof battery standby time.. Other than that, its good:)

As you all say battery stand by time is the only issue I face.
How coudl I stop the running applications?
Once when I open an application,I do not get option to close it in the right way..We just have to press teh return or home button.Please advise how to close it properly?Please tell me the best task killer so that I could install it:)

my issue is with the Internal Memory,
the total size is 1.150G instead of the 4G i was expecting.

AnonD-37717, 11 Jan 2012Hello there..what do u m ean by root your phone then instal... moreu can try to log-in to this site www.htc.com/us ; click on the support tab. on the dropdown menu; look for htc inspire & there will be tips/tricks on how to maximize battery. honestly speaking android os sucks battery dry & no guarantee that it will last more than 8 hrs of internet usage; etc.

Have a tech savvy friend hold your hand and do it for you. That's the best advice I can give.

to all those having battery issues.go to xda-developers.com. root your phone and install miui custom rom on GB 2.3.7... your battery life will shoot from 1 day to 2 days.speed is unbelieveble.am currently running on 1.5 ghz with no issues.super fast and better battery life.sense is good but is the main battery drain on htc phones.
