HTC launches dual-SIM, dual-core Desire SV in India

02 November, 2012

Following the launch of the HTC Desire V, the company's first dual-SIM Android smartphone, the company announced today a country-specific version of the model dubbed Desire SV in a special event in Singapore.

The Desire SV packs a 4.3-inch Super LCD2 with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 chipset, featuring a dual-core 1GHz Krait processor and 768MB RAM.

At the back, there's an 8 megapixel camera with LED flash and a BSI sensor with f/2.2 aperture and 28mm lens. Unfortunately, HTC didn't say which version of Android the device is running, but we're hoping it's Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.

Still, the device comes with Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, Wi-Fi, Beats Audio and a 1,620mAh battery to keep it running throughout the day.

The Desire SV will go on sale in India this month and will sell for INR22,590 ($420) unsubsidized.
