I have had issues with my HTC Legend from the start. It freezez and I cannot delete any texts messages or else it freezes and never actually deletes them. It hangs up on occassion when making calls out.

Can anybody answer about the contacts. Sometimes I can't find the name in the address I want to call. Sometimes can find in the called list. If the name record in the called list, does it disappear from the contact list temporary?

my htc legend owes hang once i hang up a cal and when in a conversation,another cal come and after end cal,it's hang... how can i solve tis problem? is that my memories problem or my htc software problem???

Hi all, for those of you unhappy about the battery life, just type in the google search bar "htc legend extended battery". Here you will see options to buy a bigger more powerful battery. Then you will onnly be charging your phone once every 3 - 4 days with moderate or heavy use. They do these extended batteries for most smart phones. I will buy one when I get my HTC Desire in two months. Most smart phones have poor batteries but the extended batteries solve it.

No iTunes as mentioned. But there's one drawback. Although it's Android V2.1 (Eclair) (which is to my opinion the BEST OS), that Legend might not yet get the upgrade V2.2 (Froyo). There's rumors that Legend will stop at Eclair and might not go beyond it.
So, no OS upgrades for life if HTC decides not to.

The phone is fantastic, sleek and sturdy. HTC sense is an amazing experience, can be easily personalized. The battery life is good provided that you switch off WiFi / GPS / dim the display when not needed (makes sense).
Even though I got it from Vodafone Egypt (no Android Market on it), I love the phone! Way better than the Magic and Desire. Both seen them, and played with them.

-Battery life:
it's common sense to enable wifi and gps only when you need it. That's the same for every smartphone. When you use GPS navigation with iGo it only lasts for about 4 hours if you don't connect the phone to the car charger;
-accelerometer: in the menus, it doesn't work, and that's no problem!
-touch screen: indeed in time you have to clean the screen sometimes, because sweat or dirt from your fingers will affect the responsibility a bit (and only a bit!);
There's no fault with this phone and I never had an issue regarding overheating.
I've had phones with resistive screens before with Windows Mobile 6.1, but the HTC Legend has a capacitive one so it's much better than those.

I mainly charged my phone through USB
Charging via mains charger produce some heat it is normal for the phone with metal body.
Previously I have E51 it will be very hot when compared to my htc legend.
Mainly heating is produced by charger which has higher output current
Nokia E51 chager has 800mA output
Legend charger has 1000mA output
Nokia 3110c charger has 100mA output
when i charge my E51 with nokia 3110c charger it takes nearly 8 to 10hours to charge my phone but my E51 is at normal room temperature.
But with my E51 charger it finished with in 1 to 1.30hrs to charge my phone but the phone becomes very hot.
Compare to my E51 heating is very less in HTC Legend.
Normally the heating problem on charging time is mainly depends upon charger not a phone.
Mainly Nokia phone has lesser output current except E-Series.

it maintained between 35 to 39Degrees
For Sturdier build quality go for HTC legend
For plasticity go for HTC desire
No other phone has this much of build quality
My legend fall at least three times i dint find a single scratch on my phone.

i'm so confused weather to go for HTC legend or desire can anyboby pls help me.. Not much difference in price!!
I heard legend is havin some serious problem with-
wifi reception, heating up during normal usage, keys are loose, can anybody pls comment on it?
And does the processor of desire make much difference?

Can we create folders for messages? Also I don't really like all the messages (sent and receive) on the same screen. I kinda like the old fashion concept of sent box and inbox.
Pls help me create the folders for moving the text messages.

Stand by mode battery is awesome
For fullday with wifi, bluetooth, internet and gps off
my battery drops just 5% only attending the calls and dialling less number of calls
When we switch on GPS with google My tracks app Battery can run up to 6.30 hrs
When we switch on sync and wifi battery lasts upto 12 to 15hrs.

Great phone. No problems until completed last update and now texts have to be scrolled through to find newest one from that person. Can still see first line of newest text on lists of texts but when clicking on newest one get to view the oldest to that person. Any ideas anyone?
