Currently my pone is working on android OS version 2.2. Can it be upgraded as newer versions are also available in market such as 4.1?

I am unable to delete messages. please guide me to delete long threads containing 2500 texts. Every time I attempt to do this the device hangs n gives the Not responding notification. I have tried SMS cleanup app but its also of no use. Please help

It's like a rock. I can trow it in the ground that nothing happens, only some scratches. (actually I've done that two times to prove it to my friends)
Now I modded to Cyanogen Mod and have total control of it, it's not too fast but server me very well

If you can, avoid this phone. It was my first smartphone, got it on a cheap plan, so I really wasn't expecting much, but I didn't expect it to lag so badly. It sometimes lags so much that I can't even unlock it because it just freezes. I had to remove most of my widgets from the homescreen and switch off the little UI animations and it still lags a bit. It does everything else I expected it to, I wasn't expecting much from a budget phone, but the lag makes the phone unworkable. I bought it shipped with Android 2.2 and I'm guessing that's the reason why it's been lagging so bad, because apparently it used to be a great phone under 2.1.
So I wouldn't recommend this phone for people. There are way better budget phones available on the market - this one is definitely not worth it.

First smartphone i've ever owned. I absolutely hate it, nothing but problems, had 3 of them sent back for replacements in 12 months. waaayy too slow. i could go on for ages. massive lag on typing texts, total peice of shit. do not buy this phone

Worked fine for me, it only started to lag when I had the ruddy thing crammed with aps to the point whereby it started complaining it had little memory left. Guessing this would have been a problem no matter what the operating system?

the legend is a crap phone it is very slow and downloading is like watching paint dry i have mine sold after 1 week let someone else have the pain dont invest in 1 ppl

I'm also pretty fed with what happened to Legend after the "up"grade to Froyo (Android 2.2).
At first the phone worked better with the new OS. But not long...

Legend has Android 2.2 (Froyo), which to me came as a OTA-installation.

Legend suck. Legend good once when using original 2.1 os, after update to 2.2, Legend SUCK! slow, lag, can't downgrade, more lag when install application in SD card, lag when view photo, slow and inaccurate camera focus, poor customer support to fix this lag issue.
After use near 2 year, screen become insensitive sometime and not able to drag unlock screen, need remove battery to recover, not sure is software or hardware issue, after reset factory default, software keep as 2.2 not 2.1, problem still not solved......
