I have purchased Desire 820 1 week before.within a week software problems has arise.phone automatically switching off and on.waste phone.pls dont buy desire 820.I exchanged with one E8

I had brough htc 820 on 16th nov with in 4days software problen raised and I return to company and took new 820 again it is having software problem and it is completely shutting off itself power button not working touch not working again clained for return
waste of taking 820 can any one suggest nice mobile

Wanted to buy this,but it's main disadvantages :-(
1.No IR-port
2.No 4K video recording or OIS
3.Non user-replaceable battery
4.No TV-out connectivity
5.No USB On-the-go or USB Host.

820 is quite a large device. So I think you should go for e8.

I'm using this phone since 2 months now . Got a silver version. And Let me assure you all that this is the best you can expect in this price range ! Superb build quality. Top notch features. Flawless interface and snappy performance ! The looks leave you awestruck too . Initially I doubted the camera but It has turned out to be better than expectations. Little problem in dim light but you can make manual adjustments. Also the ones who are thinking of M8 trust me no need to waste 8k. This is awesome and all put cover on phone so that metal finish is redundant. My bro has M8 and with our dot view case on both phones look and feel the same . So don't miss out on this bargain ! It's simply the best phone around in India

Just bought a red E8 PHONE FOR MY DAUGHTER THROUGH FLIPKART.
Some problem with audio:
When we use earphones (one that came with phone or even others such as Sony and Philips and Sennenhsr) suddenly left side audio stops coming. Sometimes it doesn't come from beginning and other times it stops in few minutes. The contact of the jack is tight enough and not loose. The earphone is fine as it is working on other devices properly for hours at a stretch. Speaker is perfect and works fine both sides.
Can anyone throw light in this problem and causes? What can be done about this??
Such problem not expected from such an expensive phone of a good brand.
Otherwise the phone is snappy and good. Customer service is Veeeeerrrrry Baaaad and unresponsive.

I didn't face any problems with the device. Its been a month since I bought it. Its fluid and outstanding. I have the matte grey and ive also held the M8. Believe me there is not much difference in the both devices. E8's with matte finish feels solid as good as the M8's aluminium. Do not think for anything beyond. Just go for it. Its totally upon you, metal or plastic(polycarbonate). Or just wait till march 2015 when M9 will release. Spend your money on m9 rather than on M8 or E8. Believe me HTC is the best company for android smartphone lovers. Their version of android skin is the best. I've done a lot of research of mobiles and I found the e8 the best for price. I thought m8 but it has a not good camera where as E8 has a 13 mp camera. I will sell my E8 if M9 has a better camera for sure. Hope you make a wise decision. However you may like samsung's touchwiz or lg's , its your decision. But don't buy unless you get the best for what you pay for.
