If you want a better camera phone then go for Z2 or G3 else If you are looking for decent camera combining with good all round package then E8 is for you.

If you're looking for the best camera phone then E8 neither M8 is not for you, better go for Lg G3(it has OIS) which takes good shots even in low light conditions therefore better than both S5 and Z2.
The problem with E8's camera is low light shots which are decent but not the best.
E8 will get Lollipop update between January and March.

Htc one e8 or Sony xperia z2??On paper Z2 is the beast and is better than E8 in every single aspect apart from display and speakers, But many people are complaining about severe heating problems and there are thousands of similar Self-Cracking glass complaints flooding the internet about the Xperia Z2 and whole Z series lineup of Sony. So I suggest you to not for Z2 and go for E8 as it is the best phone under 32k at the moment.

I love the E8 battery life is amazing I mean amazing. This whole phone is. Feels great in my hand I feel no plastic anywhere. Camera is not bad at all, not like the reviews say but not really a picture guy. But everything about this phone is great.

It is extraordinary phone under Rs 35000, it's battery back up is very good and picture and video clarity is very good. I have Samsung s4, but performance and speed wise , HTC one e8 is great. Those who want to buy , buy it without second thought.

I have been using this phone for three month now of heavy use...I find everything very very good about it...very smooth interface and usage, very good camera, good built quality specially if u go for white. also if u active divert when not reachable from sim 1 to sim 2 & vice verse you will not miss any call from both sim. Best battery back as compared to any other brand smartphone...I am extremely happy with my decision of buying it. Worth for money
