AnonD-347652, 26 Apr 2016Hey...it happened in my case too when it upgraded to lollip... moreThe phone is completely dead it is just heating when putting in charging. it is neither going in fast-boot nor in Hboot and also no orange lite of charging appearing up.

Mobile repairing shops are saying motherboard is dead power IC is short. :(

But I got RCOM 4G Sims today so will be migrating to Iphone asap sim activates... Till then Mi5 rocks 10 times better then this HTC ONE E8.

MI5 is seriously fast then HTC E8 Kitkat may be this phone was about to dying as it was very very slow.

AnonD-519943, 26 Apr 2016Don't do it at all as this suggestions is completely crap.... moreAm not akd100(Am not even supposed to use his account),I know li-ion battery are smart and they remember when they reach 100%,the old technology used forget when they have reached 100% causing over charge(killing battery) or even explosion(rare case).and discharging your device to 0% is always healthy and will remain(you are wrong at what you said),it will never ever make your battery suffer from any issue.I sounded to promote old sayings but they work sometimes due to which I suggested him.Akd100 is not the one replying so don't quate him(this is possible that you didn't read my comment earlier that's why am again writing).

AnonD-524656, 20 Apr 2016Happend with me too .. Total blackout.. for first time ... moreIn my case motherboard is dead and HTC service centre quoted 17500 for motherboard replacement which is pointless.

Looks like power IC gone.. as phone is heating if I put it on charge and no charging led coming up on it.

A complete cycle count when battery reaches from 0-100% so how much you charge before it reaches 100% it will not count cycle.

Having 0% charge in battery can be fatal to it as in any case if you tried to start phone on 0% and if voltages dips low in that case it may get dead as it will stop taking charge.
Just charge your phone normally if any cycle issue is there it should learn and get better in some days of usage.

Suggestion to do 0-100% of battery is totally crap for L-ion batteries that applied in old days with NI-MH batteries which had memory effect L-Ion batteries do not have Memory effect issue.

Nothing personal with you Dixit Akarsh or akd100, but whoever you are why you are keep giving crap suggestions ( I saw so many of them though without doing a Google on them first) to everyone which are proven wrong everywhere and pretend to be techie ... while I feel that you are not a true one.

I read many people have said that their battery... moreIf Factory reset doesn't works than discharge your device until 0% and than turn off your phone and put it on charging, don't turn on your phone before it reaches 100%.the logic behind this is that modern battery have a smart charge feature so if you charge your phone when it is showing 18%(for example) than the battery will take 82% bettery as charged and rest will be seen as uncharged(this is for making you understand in a easy way),so when you discharge your battery to 0% and than charge, this results in the charging of each part of your battery giving a healthy life.this should be done in a month or 2.

A UHS-I class 3 should in fact suffice, not sure what exactly HTC is looking for. I'll find out and post here. UHS-I class 1 is similar to class 10.

The performance of the phone was great on KitKat. Even the battery lasted more than a day. Lollipop ruined it, but Marshmallow brought back life to the battery. Did you factory reset after the update? If you haven't, you might see lag as well as poor battery life. Try factory resetting your phone.

Hi guys.... I read many people have said that their battery life has increased or become better, but I feel, on my device the battery life has become aweful! earlier, I could go on with single charge for 2 days. But now I have noticed that the charge does not last more than 14 hours... it dead drops to 13%-12% from 100% in 14 hours....
