I wonder if we could do anything else
Problem is that they themselves are messed up with SIM 1 issue on m8SD
Sim 1 does support 4g but lock to China unicom 4g (so no 4g outside China)
If they gives us radio update then sim 1 will work on 4g but will not connect to 2g/3g..(as it doesn't work outside India)
Only one solution I guess is that they have to create new RUU #HTC LAZY will not do it for 2 years old phone

HTC is taking us for a ride. I bought this for 34000 bucks last year, april. Many sites including gsmarena mention specific 4g bands for the Indian model. Even the EMIE check mentions 4g bands for my devce. The HTC website vaguely mentions that some 'countries' do not have 4g, without specifically saying that the device does not have 4g. On contacting support they dismissed the specs mentioned on the various sites as third party sites & disclaimed any responsibility for the same. They do not mind the advertisement that they get from all these sites but do not want to take responsibility for what is mentioned there. Nor do they bother to correct the information. After a few mails they stopped responding. Is there any way we can make them accountable?

Last week I bought this from from UAE. (7.12.2016). I'm satisfied with only design & out look & front speakers. GPS was not working properly. When I open the Maps it was forever trying to find my location. But never find. And another problem Android update issues. It always shows update available for first time I'm happy with it.after they I'm Fed up.. Because after downloading when trying to install it shows some error. This s my first HTC mobile. I'm very disappointed with this shit...

Definately, HTC is cheating on us even i have visited HTC's website for the full specification for 4G LTE support and there it was clearly mentioned that it does support 4G LTE FDD 1,3 bands.
I am going to file a complaint in consumer court for the same, if we all get united and file the complaint against HTC they will have to provide a suitable solution.

for everyone who wants 4g on E8SD cdma+gsm
maybe u change mid and cid(with S-off) to gsm+gsm one and flash the RUU+OTA
after that maybe you can enable 4g

This mobile is unbelievably good, it is fast, good battery life, good boom sound front stereo speakers, fabulous earphone sound, crispy display and camera is good(in good lighting), 4G support ( i dont know why others dont have) updated to Marshmallow 6.0.1 . THB, there is nothing bad I can say in this mobile considering what year it was released.

Bros don't buy it because this phone has microphone problems as well as only SIM1 supports 3g or 4g but the other SIM slot only supports 2g.I am very upset losing my 18000 bdt money buying such a rubbish phone using immediately first time after buying.don't suffer buying it.

Never buy htc mobile.4G does not works on it.i hav contacted to cust care at that time they told that 4G wl work on this set.it is a cheater company.

If you are facing the same GPS issue, I can bet that there's no way you can resolve it and HTC is least bothered.
This is the reason, I sold my E8 and bought an OP3.
