I really had high hopes for this, when I saw it at my local store I was afraid to even compare it's loudness to my 5 years old Sony Ericsson W995. I was certain that M9 would be much louder, but marketing and real life hands on are different things.
W995 is 20% louder, yes. That louder, and it's bass output is better than M9's. I tested it again and again, with theatre, music, boomsound and no boomsound modes and W995 except from louder, it sounded heavier, better. When M9 has so much clarity that ruins it's bass output. But hey, at least via 3,5 jack they sounded almost identical in both quality and loudness.
I know that M9 is better phone on everything else, but it was marketed as the best and loudest music phone ever, and since the music part is vital for me, I won't buy M9.
I`m not trying to bash M9, just stating the fact that M9's speakers are not as loud as I expected them to be, not even close.
And that my 5 years old W995 is 20% louder? Why htc? just why?..

HTC ONE M9 is a great phone and it has its own quickcharge 2.0 technology through which battery is drained less often but still there are ways through which you can save HTC ONE M9 battery life like
1) reducing the brightness of your device.
2)reduce the screen timeout of your device.
3) turn off wifi , bluetooth , 4g.
4) install battery guru
5)turn off gps and location services.

thomas, 21 Apr 2015I got my HTC M9 on 15/04/2015 and the battery drains out so... moreWait for the update. It is already seeding t man US carriers. Make sure you update it because it contains several improvements.

My HTC M8 seems far n\better than the M9.
The battery capacity is more in M9 but still it drains out very very fast.
