HTC One max will not be making its way to Canada

16 October, 2013

HTC One max will not be making its way to Canada – at least officially. According to a statement from the Taiwanese manufacturer, “the current HTC lineup of devices is sufficient for the Canadian marketplace”.

The lack of subsidized HTC One max in Canada means that users who are interested in the company’s first phablet will have to pick up an unlocked device. If the UK pricing is anything to go by for reference though, such option will be quite expensive.

The official absence from the Canadian market will mark a surprisingly low-key North American rollout for the HTC One max. The phablet will be offered only by Sprint and Verizon in the United States.

No, that is not quite what they said. In the UK it will be exclusive to Vodafone. That does not mean it will not be sold in other countries.
