When I got my htc rhyme, it was a perfect phone for middle range, beautiful design, 3.7" fits in my hand, card slot, 720p v.recording, good camera.
Then mediocre started,
desire X, no 720p recording
htc one s, limit by 16GB internal memory
htc desire 600, zoe was removed
and now I've been waiting for these, willing to pay same price as htc one, but smaller and then another 16GB, I REALLY WANT TO SLAM A HAMMER TO THE PRODUCTION GENERAL MANAGER OF THE HTC, sd card slot can resolve by releasing 32/64GB, now where is it?????

Is it still metal out plastic?? Plastic better as metal starts scraping from sides on rough use! Only 16gb?????

I postponed to buy the HTC one-S because I was waiting for this but now its officially announced, I was disappointed with the internal memory.
Are the HTC company will release a 32/64GB version of this? If not, I'll go somewhere else where other brand provides them all to the customer....take a note that 5" htc one is too big for a my hand!!!!

How about comparing this to 8x. 8x is much cheaper in ebay. Any opinion?

What i hate about these mini versions is that they have half of the original version's capability, but not half of the price, the most irrationale buy.

With online storage such a... moreWe need sd slot for storing video music,and photos. and use the somewhat 11gb phone memory for installing games and apps. it is not convenient to download media files every time from dropbox when we want to play it and data connection may not be available everywhere.if you still dont get it, You Guys Are DUMB!

I've no problem with no sd card slot but why only 16gb internal memory. And if I'm right 12gb will be available only. so if you like to play hd games and videos and like to keep all the personal photo and videos with you than what. and top of that it has beats audio that I'd be great to have audio collection store in it. and all for that 12gb isn't enough guys.I'm from India and cloud storage (dropbox) is not really a conventional option. or I hope for other country like mine they would make it with more space I hope

Following on footsteps on sammy.......everything is fine,,but keeping camera to 4mp!!!!!!......rather drop camera....or just keep it for the sake facebook or others but dont brag about its prowess in imaging....4mp ultra pixel????(=5mp regular mobile cams)....

Yes, but they're Ultrapixels... HTC engineers looked deeper into camera tech and they realized increasing MP is fine and all, but other areas of the photos suffer.
Ultrapixels are much larger than normal ones and the sensor is bigger too; it lets in a lot more light, so the night shots taken by this guy wipe the floor with every other smartphone camera. Day shots are still good, in fact usually have more accurate colors than other devices, but you will see extra detail in phones like the XperiaZ/ZL and S4.
