This may have already been answered but ......... if no recognition then problem may be your cable. You may have a 'charge only' one so try another cable.

It's not your fault htc has a manufaturing problem.Their processors are working non-stop round the clock hence they drain more battery.....

I have been using HTC one XL for 1 year and a half....but up till now no update is available for my phone although I found most of the other HTC already received updates...my software is still 4.1.1.....any solution?

Has anyone had the issue when downloading photos etc that instead of maybe 200 there are thousands of shots which have picked up news stuff from around the world. I don't know where this is coming from but this is the 3rd time I went to download but stopped. I need to prevent this happening so please I would love to hear from you if you know the answer! Cheers

Top-up charges upset the battery callibration. Use the phone until the battery drops to zero and powers itself off. Then charge it up until you see the green light, but don't disconnect your charger yet. Leave it to go for another hour. Keep the device off while charging. Follow these rules and you'll get an improvement after about 3 cycles. I'm now getting about 3 days easily, with moderate daily web surfing and calls. It should last another year, but I'm hoping to get a new device within 12 months.
