Slow CPU spec.
The Omap 200Mhz processor seems as a bad choice, but maybe (hoping to the end) it performs acceptable. It could be the perfect MDA... Could it be that HTC choose the CPU in order to reduce power consumtion?
Well, we will all see shortly.
If it doesnt perform, I will buy the HP iPAQ hw6915.

oh wait... it's lighter and it's got built-in gps... but why should they choose to use an omap850?? i think the company's too much concerned with the profit they want to make

Check out Gigabyte's g-Smart i300. Very similar specs, 416 MHz processor, 256 MB Flash, miniSD. Also Asus' P535, although no EDGE on that.

I fully agree : why why why. This seems to be a dream machine. Small, Thin, everything in it except horse power.
It could have been perfect for me.

For those in need of more info for this PC pocket, here is a great link on it:

                        http://www.pdadb.net/index.php?m=specs&id=619

Few things to note, the weight is only 126 gramms which is unheard of for a size of this unit. It is also only 16.8 mm in thickness which is again one of the thiniest units around. The only other PDA unit that is similar is the O2 Orbit.

                        HTC comes with the pre installed AKU 3.0 software kit and TOMTOM Navigator 6. Something very few other PDA units have. I did a comparison wih the Orbit from the same site and have the link here for you;

                        http://www.pdadb.net/index.php?m=pdacomparer

As you can see alot of the specifications are identical accept for very few little things. I believe that these 2 units are on top of the class as far as weight, size, performance, style and being GPS ready.

How do we know the processor is only a 200Mhz wimp ? The marketing hype is extremely frustrating - no reliable details, yet the blogs keep telling us the product is officially released.

Whenever this happens (and Microsoft has evolved this FUD technique to an art form), I believe instantly that the missing details are not selling points

What chip is the GPS receiver, exactly ?

I bet any replies to this are not from HTC

200MHz sux, do not even condider this junk. The fact that the company try to hide basic tech info about their own product is totally unexeptable - I guess companies imitating Sony and Dell now.

                                        Hey all!

I curently use the IMATE JAMiN // i guess the phone that i see here is too similar to the one i hav with respect to specifications. I Swear it looks kool. But who wud wanna spend money just for the looks specially if u r planning to buy a PDA. Coming to the most critical point in the discussion. I just Googled the phone n found it duz hav a 200 Mhz processor which again is the same that my phone has. And i'd say its not bad but a fairly slow processor compared to the ATOM. I think they need to come up wid a faster processor n RAM. Plz post any difference in opinion
