HTC P3300, P3600, S620 and S310
Today four new HTC handsets were announced - two PocketPC models - P3300 and P3600 and two smartphones - S620 and S310. All of them form the company's Q4 strategy for 2006. It seems that the company decided to switch from the cryptic naming from the first two models for the brand - HTC TyTN and HTC MTeoR.
HTC P3300, codename Artemis, is a quad-band PDA phone and runs on Windows Mobile 5.0 OS PocketPC Edition. It comes with its GPS feature and the new TomTom Navigator 6 GPS application preinstalled on it. Two different versions will be available: Taster - with only one preinstalled city and Premium - with a complete set of maps for Western Europe. GPRS, EDGE, Wi-Fi, USB and Bluetooth are the connectivity options. The device has FM radio and 2.8" TFT display. A 2 megapixel camera is situated on the back. HTC P3300 has 128 internal memory and a microSD card slot for extensions.
P3600 model is a quad-band 3G device with HSDPA support. It runs on Windows Mobile 5.0 for PocketPC. With its 2.8" LCD touchscreen display, a 2 megapixel camera for imaging and a VGA one for video calls, P3600 seems like a powerful tool. EDGE, GPRS, Wi-Fi, USB and Bluetooth are the connectivity options of the device. Just like the other models, P3600 has 128 MB internal memory but instead of the microSD card slot, it features a miniSD card slot for extending the available memory.
S620, codename Excalibur, is a quad-band Windows Mobile 5.0 smartphone with QWERTY keyboard. It has a 2.4" QVGA display in landscape mode above the keyboard and a 1.3 megapixel camera on its back. The phone has 64 MB RAM and 128 MB internal memory. It can be extended via the microSD card slot. GPRS, EDGE, Wi-Fi, USB and Bluetooth (with A2DP) are supported. This model is a very slim one for its class with its dimensions of 111.5 x 62.5 x 12.8 mm. HTC S620 will compete on the market with devices with similar construction like Samsung i320, Motorola Q and Nokia E61.
HTC S310, codename Oxygen, is a quad-band smartphone of a lower class as the display resolution of 176 x 220 pixels suggests. It runs on Windows Mobile 5.0 for Smartphone, as one might guess. A 1.3 megapixel camera has been mounted on its back. The phone has EDGE, GPRS, USB and Bluetooth support. The 64 MB internal memory can be expanded via the miniSD card slot.
All four new HTC devices will be available in Q4 2006.

The Green backdroung is as easily replacable as a backgroud on a computer screen. I will wait for the first review on the quality of GPS reception. If GPS reception is good this is definitively a winner
