I have been using the P3400 now for 2 years, using to sync with my Office Outlook, pulling my Hotmail on a daily basis being mobile.
All I can say "Great Phone" Saves me so much time, as I can do spreadheets, word, etc. Do not have to go to Office as I can do this all remotely via Edge.
Only drawback, no 3G , Now I needs to upgrade but cannot find anything at this price to compare

Ally, 16 Feb 2009I have this phone and its quite interesting but the thing i... moreIf you need WAP and MMS settings u need to buy the Mobile Office with the operator as the free settings wouldnt work and also need to have the settings manually set.

I have had the phone for just over a year now. It has served me well, but can be frustratingly slow. It has also twice been in for the phone refusing to come out of flight mode. With the back up service of HTC being appalling in South Africa, I would think about it carefully before buying another HTC.

if u r refering to having both vibrator and rintone at the same time... then it is possible.
goto: Start > Settings >Sounds and Notifications > Notifications >...
select any action u want to change
if u want to change the ringtone and also keep viberation, select 'Phone: Incoming Call'
and in ring type select 'Viberate and ring'
and any personal ringtone u want

Hey guys after reading your opinions i bought this phone and used it or 2 months.Here are some pros and cons of this phone.
PROS:
1.Responsive 2.8" touch screen which runs on WM6 prof.
2.One can easily navigate it through the soft keys and 5 way navigation
3.Sound clarity is good when compared to other mobiles (except the SE Walkmans).Headphones provided are very good.(I lost my headphones the after 3 days of use.)
4.Very good battery backup with 1250mAh
5.Aggressive pricing.
6.Comes with tons of softwares.
CONS:
1.Ram is very low (64 mb)and only 43mb is accesseable
That means you cant do multitasking on this set.
2.Phone gets hanged once in 2-3 days and you have to do soft reset.
3.Not so easy to use OS if you are a Nokia or SE user.
4.Camera clarity is too bad.
5.Screen is a little dull to look at under sunlight.
Final opinion is that it is not a great phone, it has its own limitations,but when you see its pricing(INR 9700),it surely is a value for money.

I was using w550i of Sony Erics. The speed of 3400i is slow, OS is little bit difficult then S.E. There is some limitation like you can not use ringer and vibrator together, Alarm is not working when phone is off or in vibrating mode. I am using 4GB micro SD(Rs.540)with SD adapter with good speed. Display colours is 62K is too less then 256K which in W550i. So Picture Viewing is a boaring thing, camara quality is not great as compared to Sony Ericsson.
But still its a good PDA phone, with great joy of Touch Screen and Office applications are also the best of it which is also editable.
Music is as compared to W55oi.Bluetooth is with A2DP.
Great Looks.
So as with the price of Rs.9750/- the phone is worth to buy.

i dont want to waste my money or regret later after buying this phn.is htc better than sony ericsson w595i
and does this phn has gprs,,if i use a BPL card.and what is the total expandable memory of this phn.its mentioned no where
