For all who ask about the WiFi .. the HTC P3400 ( aka Gene ) do not have WiFi built in .. BUT you can get a wifi SD card to work with it.

@milind naik, it has no wifi, so you won't be able to connect to any wifi network.

Got it yesterday. Its an awesome phone! Though i was an SE fan, i decided to go for hTc as there was no touchscreen phone available in SE range. Am not disappointed.
My first PPC, P3400 left me more than happy. Jus waiting to see if it can work the same in the months to come.
The screen is brilliant. The menus are good and the sound is more than sufficient.
Goodbye to all gud old candy bar Nokias and SEs!

The soud quality output with HTC.P3400 is fair enough good. Even with switching on its speaker.
Its worth to have such an excellent Mobile HandSet bundlled with so many applications and features...!
And, in true sense, it is very useful as a PERSONAL.DIGITAL.ASSISTANT in day-to-day BUSINESS activities...!
After all, its Pocket.PC...!

3GP Format Video:
[1] Go to the CAMERA Function.
[2] Tap the Setting Icon located in the Leftmost Lower corner.
[3] Select the Mode of Camera Function: MOVIE
[4] Select the Recording Format: From MP4 to 3GP
That All...!
Now you can capture and store all your Movie files in 3GP Format...!

If you experience of slowing down the speed of your HTC.3400, please insert a Memory Card in the slot, and keep your Basic Memory (In-Built Memory) free as much as possible. Keep all the Data such as: Images, Songs, Movie / Video FIle Formats, Docs / XLS, etc. on your External Memory Drive.
This will maximize the chances for the Processor to lower don the processing load on the Mobile Processing Unit... resulting into faster and smoother operations of your amazing Multi-Tasking Pocket.PC: HTC.3400...!
Just yesterday tried personally by loading a 6mB Video Song File to the In-Built Memory thru BlueTooth. While running the application thru Media.Player... the Audio quality was consistant, but the Video was in slower frame .rates...!
Immediately I CUT the Movie File and PASTed to the External Memory (SD.CARD), and then played the application thru Media Player...!
The result was an EXCELLENT...!
Event if you have an opportunity to record your Voice, please store all these files to the External Memroy Card...!

I bought a new HTC P3400i (windows 6.0 version), so far it looks nice but a bit slow, and I would like to know how to connect a call conferenc? , and i feel its a good phone with all compatible options.

Dear All...!
To all those who are planning to go for HTC3400, I have nothing to say, but- "Go and Grab it...!" Its worth to have such phone. Ofcourse, it has few limitations like:
[1] You can not change the Font Colour Scheme on the Home-Page
[2] Not Like HTC.Touch or Apple-iPhone. Do not compare with it at all.
However, the functions, utilities and capacity as a true Mobile Handset to utilise it as PalmTop or HandHeld PC or a Pocket.PC... it is REALLY AMAZING...!
HTC.3400 is a perfect blend of Mobile.Handset and LapTop features...! Whats more required...?
Dear Friends, if you are looking for only exclusive Mobile.Phone features, then Please do not go for HTC.3400...!
Bcoz-
HTC.3400 is programmed for the Multi-Tasks... Therefore, I strongly believe that its user also has to be equally competible same as HTC.3400...!!!!
Never ever expose with your complaint about the missing features of your Mobile Handsets... as never ever any manufacturer will keep you happy by furnishing all the features in a single unit... after all they have run their manufacturing plant and busioness!!!

p3400 is ok...! but am looking something more than this, the video gets recordes in mpeg formatthers is no 3gp fornmat and this model does not have y5...
am not that satisfied this this phone. and the updates for this phone is not easily available...
so people if any1 knows how to update pls tell me how to up date my version. mail:

I purchased this mobile six month back and found OK for MSN messager. You can install 3rd party mssngr but service is very poor. I'm following up for some hardware problem but they are not responding satisfactorily... so my suggestion please don't go for this one.
