HTC Runnymede press shot emerges

12 September, 2011

The HTC Runnymede is one of the most anticipated Android offerings to hit the market this Fall. After all, the droid is expected to be the first product of the recently announced partnership between the Taiwanese manufacturer and the Los Angeles based Beats Electronics.

Today, we have the first press shot of the music oriented droid. In terms of specs, we already know that the smartphone will be closely related to the recently announced, Windows Phone running HTC Titan. The features include a single-core CPU, clocked at 1.5GHz, a massive 4.7" screen with WVGA resolution, and a high quality 8MP camera unit. The device will come with either 16 or 32GB of built in memory and 768MB of RAM. There will be no memory card slot on board. Like we mentioned above already, the smartphone is expected to feature some serious audio performance, as well as a pair of Beats by Dr. Dre headphones bundled in its retail package.

The rumored price tag of the droid is £530 ($838) for the 16GB model, and £30 more for the version with 32GB of on-board memory. You will surely find droids with better specs than the HTC Runnymede out there, but sans the Beats Audio credentials. We surely hope that the latter are worth the expected price tag.
