HTC shares more concrete Android 9 Pie update timeline for the U12+, U11+, and U11
HTC has finally shared some more news about its Android 9 Pie update timeline. The company announced back in March that the U11, U11+, and U12+ would all get the new software "starting Q2" - which starts in April and ends in June.
So now that we're smack dab in the middle of that quarter, we assume a lot of people have been asking HTC whether it forgot its promise. Turns out the answer is no.
We want to share the release schedule of the Android Pie updates for #HTC smartphones. Please note, certain regions & carrier deployment may affect these dates. U11 rollout will begin late May, 2019; U11+ will begin late June, 2019; U12+ will begin mid-June, 2019. Thank you pic.twitter.com/eyeCdX5qWm

As you can see from the official tweet embedded above, the U11 will be the first graced with Pie at some point before the end of this month. Then the U12+ will follow in mid-June, with the U11+ joining the party in late June. These are still pretty vague details, but less so than what we had to work with before, so that's a plus.
The thing is, HTC is incredibly late to hop on this update train, compared to every well known Android device maker that isn't LG. But hey, at least updates are coming to these three devices. If you have another HTC phone, don't hold your breath.

They don't own htc. They just bought a chunk of the workforce so now the number of people who work at htc is quite small
