Hey seems the ROM upgrade has done the trick. My phone is not getting drained just like it used to. Although I lost all my contacts with upgrade but it doesnt matter as long as my battery issue gets sorted out. Will keep posting if it reappears. But so far no signs.

kanda, 05 Aug 2010i recently purchase this, fuck i never seen such a mobile, ... morethis is not a handicam dude. when max res is selected, u can't zoom in any mobile camera.

is it better... moreSound is decent.
But be aware that u'll find very difficult to find a sweet spot, sometimes sound will be too high for a level and one notch down will be too less. Nothing great about the music. u don get any equalizers either.

The phone is real good one...I dont know why every one is complaining about the battery and othe rstuff..I have been using this phoen from past 3 months and have never faced any issues with battery or any other pronlems...This phone is worth buying ya...People thinking about this phone can buy it ne time withot any secon thought..Trust me u gonna love the features and the phone....The best part about this phone is the when you use the earphone to listen to misic its as good as a apple or a sony walkman phone....M in love with ma HTC smart......go get one fr urself.....

I am very sorry no other option by removing the memory card and charging kk... but remove one time and charge that is enough for you . atleast u will get one day battery life k... take care..

this phone is excellent, can i ask why everyone is moaning about battery life? because i have had no problems... this can get through a day of heavy use no problem, and for the price it's very well built...

So is there any solution to battery drain problem apart from not using SD card? Is HTC/Qualcomm already working on this issue? Any updates on this are welcomed. Because if they are then it make sense to keep this phone.

well frnds... i am also a smart user.. it is a really decent phone with a battery prob... my phone never get restart as stated above by different users.. u jst need to update ur rom version from htc website and after that it wil work fine. sound quality is very gud and restore and backup feature is also very gud so that u will ever going to lost ur valuable data.. even sms also. u cant get every thig under 7.5 k tab. it is way better than nokia as nokia is quite slow.

I have no problems with the battery, but it seems like the OS is getting slower each day. Even though I barely have data on my sd card (it's 256mb btw)...

HTC Smart ... F3188 is the worst phone I have used till date, I am using cellphone since 1997, since then I have used Erricson, Nokia, Sony, Nokia, LG, again Nokia, Samsung,and now HTC since 35 Days now. But I swear by NOKIA now, each time I shifted from Nokia I was dissapointed, and Nokia handsets I could use more than 2 years, but other I shifted very early.
This handset I bought as I HTC but am VASTLY dissapointed. I dont reccomend any body to buy this handset, Just go in for any NOKIA and you are assured.
I am feeling like selling this handset may be at 7000 also I have purchsed at 9250, any body Interested in Mumbai??
