HTC teases the U12 life, coming in August 30

It's confirmed - the HTC U12 Life is really happening. We've been hearing some stories about the device since late July, but only now we are getting official confirmation from HTC's Twitter page.

According to the post, there's something new in store for us coming on August 30. Even though most of you won't be necessarily excited about the new mid-range release, the initial rumors say that the U12 Life will not be made by HTC itself and will be an ODM device instead.

Anyway, if the previous report are to be believed, the handset will ship with a 6-inch, 18:9 screen with 1080 x 2160 pixels resolution, Snapdragon 636 SoC and 4GB of RAM. The storage will be 64GB and can be expanded via microSD card slot.

The back will house a 16MP + 5MP camera setup while the front will have a 13MP sensor coupled with a flash. All will be powered by a 3,600 mAh battery. Waterproofing is also expected given that its predecessor was IP67 compliant. Moreover, we have the rumored design schematics from early August and we will know if they are legit soon enough.

KEEP your HTC A9, please. It has a headphone jack unlike U12 Life. OR you can consider Zenfone Max Pro M1, Nokia 6(2018), Nokia 7 Plus. Not forgetting the recently released Xiaomi Pocophone F1 @ $300.

If only it is $200 plus tax and delivery and no string attached. Yes, it will sell well. If it above $400 HTC can go die now. Public already felt betrayed. Even a SD845 phone can go as low as $300 these day.
