I have been using O2 atom that has sync problem with PC now im using SE P1i but im very interested to buy touch because of its size and features, can anyone tells me should i buy it or not, hopefully its far better than SE P1i but not the Camera

I got my HTC - Touch couple of days back.. I like the phone, but need help - I use the Media Player to listen to the songs, previously when i clicked the power button the phone use to go in "Stand by" option but the media player kept running..( ultimately.. saving power). But suddenly today when i go on Standby mode the media player stops, and soon as I turn it on..again the media player starts playing the song...why is it doing that way ?
Can anyone help me here...

Thanks for the info Bobby. You just confirmed that my unit could be one of those 'black sheep' models in the mass. Will take it back to the distri for inspection. I wonder whether it could be my network provider. I'm from Malaysia and am using Maxis with a 3G SIM card...I suspect that the complain that cannot connect to GPRS at start up is somehow causing the phone to work overtime and resulting to it hanging.

I have been using it from last 15days,this is my first WM phone.I am happy with the phone no hanging problems like my previous N95,i am extremely satisfied except the camera which is a let down

@satvir: Yes, the HTC Touch does have themes and you can download loads of themes from 3rd party sites as well, no problems..:)
@James Ong: My HTC Touch hasn't hung a single time since the time i bought it, about 4-5 months back..Its really strange why is it happening with your Touch. I have quite a number of softwares and themes, and games loaded in it, still no problems at all..

Bought mine a couple of months back. After a month, I kept getting a complain that my phone network cannot connect to GPRS but MMS and surfing via network is fine (using EDGE). Mine hangs quite frequently also (about 4x a week) although I upload minimal software. Anyone facing similar prob?

playing videos is actually fine for me on my htc touch.
also, i've been able to stream from a slingbox. no problems at all.
excellent phone.

actually, you can overclock it to 299. but even without overclocking it, it runs fine :)

It is a very good phone.
But I am not able to play movies smoothly on it, Looking for the correct vedio formatt and the right converter, Any asvise ?

i read a lot of the information from magzine. today is the first time i saw the dummy set in the shop.. really interesting to its size..
but the 200mhz processor really make me worry. i used many PDA before, only atom exec is really fast and stable. how about this TOUCH? can it handle all the job fast and stable with the 200mhz processor?
regarding the touch, is it only one finger operation? or only for navigation but typing still need the stylus? i use to sms and msn on driving..
really need to find out a real set to try..

Display is of very poor quality. The processor is very slow. Build quality is poor. Only advantage is it's size.

I own this phone and I like, for me, the pro's are: Excellent size, Good OS (WM6), Touchscren (and Touchflo technology), exterior finish, very loud sound, skype capabilites, Windows Live and Office Mobile. The things i dislike is: 201 Mhz Processor :S (i can't see youtube videos continuosly, video gets often freezed), writing using fingers in the virtual keyboard is a nightmare! and low memory. Well... if at least this phone has 420 Mhz, i could be great!
