      A master of all trades.
This phone really handles everything: games, programmes, videos and photos.
      It performs beautifully.
      Highly recommended.

Pay a good visit to XDA and you should have better idea on how to get the most out of your phone. For non data intensive but long hour browsing, using 3G is better for battery as WiFi keep consume power the moment it's turn on. i can get around 3 hours of medium browsing + around 10th hours of standby in one full charge.

Hans K., 22 Jul 2011No. It is not normal. The Diamond 2 has a battery that wil... moreIt's what I said, when the battery will go down so fast, it's deffinately not normal. Unfortunately this phone only has a 1100 mah battery. I have to charge my phone about every 3/4 days when I use it on a regular base. I also notice my battery gets worse every week. And when I use wifi, I have to recharge my phone every day. 3G is a killer for the battery, does anyone know how to turn off 3G data all the time? At the moment, 3G automatically turns on when using some apps, or downloading the weather stats when wifi disconnects.

adrian, 21 Jul 2011It's normal the battery will go down just a little bit when... moreNo. It is not normal.
The Diamond 2 has a battery that will last - under normal circumstances - for a couple of days without problem.
                Check:
                a) If you have any connection you are not aware of that may be using battery (Internet/Wifi)
                b) If you have a faulty battery (if do, replace it under warranty)
Whenever I do not use my phone except for receiving/making the occasional call, battery lasts for three days without any problem.
Is the data connection that typically wears off ANY battery...
                Best luck with your Diamond.

Earltee, 20 Jul 2011I've just bought this phone, recharged it several times but... moreBattery life?
If you use your Diamond2 intensively, you'll have to (re)charge it at the end of every day, so it will last for the following one.
Modern phones support so many functions and have such high resolution screens that you cannot expect... miracles!?!

No phone today allows you to go through a whole working week without recharging it as it happened in the old (black & white) days when a phone was just... a phone!

Anyway, Are you sure you haven't got a WiFi connection turning itself on every x minutes?
Some programmes may "connect themselves" to the Internet, or to a Server (in order to update weather forecast, for example) every two hours (or less) and THAT will drain your battery if you aren't aware.

First of all, I would suggest checking for (background) active programmes and making sure "nothing" is using the battery/connecting to a network without you wanting it to.
Even GPS Programmes can sometimes connect to a server to check for updates automatically.
That way, the battery will run down quickly for no apparent reason.

                  "NODATA" (http://www.modaco.com/topic/246171-new-free-utility-nodata/)
is a FREE utility that avoids your phone's programmes from connecting to the net "freely"...

And - if that is the case - it's not only your battery life that is suffering the consequences, your phone bill will also "suffer" from those unwilling/hidden connections: Beware!

Anyway, I really believe the D2 is a great all purpose phone, really handy, fast, with great speed and a bright high resolution screen that will last for years to come.

                  Good Luck with it!

Earltee, 20 Jul 2011I've just bought this phone, recharged it several times but... moreIt's normal the battery will go down just a little bit when you are not using the phone at all, but only when the phone is still turned on (standby).
If I charge my phone, and turn the device on, and don't use it for one day, the battery will go down. But just by only 1% maximum. If it goes down by lets say 10%, I don't think it is normal.

One tip: if you buy a brand new phone, put the battery in and use the phone untill the battery is empty. Then charge the phone for about 12 hours, use it again till the battery is empty and charge it again untill its full. You get the max. capacity of the battery after a couple of times charging.

                            This is a CULT CLASSIC!

A great phone that has become... affordabvle and still performs better than many current models!!!

At the price, you get a handy, multi-functional phone AND video calls, which seems to have been forgotten by newer models, but it is a great PLUS!

                            Stongly recommended!

This phone really had staying power.

It still has more features than many of the phones which came out much later.
