I've had this fone on contract from vodafone for at least 3 months, I've had to exchange it 3 times within those 3 months. I had high expectations for this phone, but i was greatly dissapointed. I do not recommend getting this phone, and have now exchanged it for the Bold 9700 which I'm expecting on Wednesday!

Well honestly... I've been using HTC for couple years
Last week I got this phone from T-mobile cos I really wanted this phone but unfortunately I am very disappointed with this phone and does not really satisfy any of its expectations. Specs are far away from real! First of all Battery drains momentarily, secondly phone freezes all the time even with one application running. Lacks of flash and extremely bad Network reception. Lack of voice recognition support for applications like Tell Me which supports voice to text message or e-mail. Well finally too tender and fragile phone, back cover breaks easily due to imperfection and durability!
I don't recommend this phone but you will see all this true only after try! Good luck

This is not a phone. A piece of dated technology YES.
Serious PDA/Smart Phone Users should stick to the market leaders in computers.
Toshiba, HP, Apple, etc.
All other manufacturers are pushing worthless copies on us. Smarten up get the leaders.
Not the fayko copiers. Years behind in technology. Open an app the whole OS crashes. MS doesn't design for HTC !!!. A Fact !!!

irst, I want to say that I am not a big fan of the o.s. (win 6.1) that is on my phone. Especially after seeing a few of my friends phones whom sport the Android o.s. and have tons of cool apps!
So, I called HTC's tech dept. and they told me that, although the Android software wasn't available for the TP2 thru HTC, it was out there and that was being succesfully installed. He also informed me that, once installed, the warranty was useless.
I'm thinking "if" I can find a working version for the TP2 and burn it over WM 6.1, if any problems arise, I should be able to remove and default back, right?
Has anyone here or know of anyone that has successfully installed Android on a TP2 and, if so, how do I get me a copy and install?
Plz answers my questions on http://www.AllTouchPro2.com or you can email me Thank you!

I have used WEB comparison and reviewed a number of comments/opinions of the three 1) Nokia N900 2) iPhone 3Gs and 3) HTC Touch Pro 2. However, some of the opinions have totally messed me up. Can any one suggest 1..2..3? with few pros and Cons if possible. I am used to Microsoft Operating System and desperately need to replace my Tynt2. But don't want to jump into one and regret later on, since these gadgets are not that cheap.

This is the best phone I have ever had.
Lots of great features and a very good touch screen but the phone is a bit heavy and bulky.

Bernd, 19 Nov 2009Oh i forgot, All the links in CHECK PRICE are linked to ... moreIn the U.S. you can get a TP2 from UStronics. They sell the full blown unlocked version, not the dumbed-down version that AT&T sells. I got mine delivered to me the next day (had to pay extra shipping charge for next day delivery). I put my AT&T sim card in it and it works fine.

Anonymous, 11 Nov 2009this phone is the most delicate piece of equipment...i boug... moreI had the same problem. Screen cracked in my pocket.
As an aside, my son's LG Cookie cracked while he was tapping it and the seller told me if you tap too hard the screen will crack! If you look in the HTC manual I think it says something similar. So go easy with the stylus is my advice.

I received mine last week with Windows Mobile 6.5 installed.
The phone in the picture is the silver model. Face is black and the rim of the face is chrome which seemed to come out dark in the photo.
A great phone filled with use full apps. The only disadvantages are: Size, battery life and the OS is a little slow for my liking.

how does the silver touch pro 2 look like? is it the one pictured on this site? or is that the black one? i'm a little confused because on importgsm.com it asked me to choose between black and silver. when i googled "silver htc touch pro 2" it showed me a picture where the face of the phone was all silver (not quite sure on the color of the keyboard) and when i searched for the black it showed me a picture and it was the exact color that's on this site except the keyboard was black. can anyone shed some light my way?
