I will not fall in the same fault again and buy the HTC TP2, but I will wait for the NVIDIA chipset that will be in the Super Star model from HTC. It may come at the end of 2009 or in 2010. This will be a new ball game, this chipset will consume very low power, and have high graphic resolution. You can connect your handset to HDMI slot in a big LCD screen and you still see excellent resolution.
You can play 10 hours of HD video and listen to 130 hours of audio.
I will wait for it rather buying this TP2.

Guys I am using a Touch HD now with lots of Tweaks and the latest UI from HTC - (Manila)
I can say this one sw alone has eased the pain of using Windows mobile a lot and the amount of customization that Windows mobile provides is second to none.
I do have 1 issue with Video playback as Qualcomm has issues with licensing its SW so 3rd party developers like Coreplayer are not working as desired.
but apart from that if U are the guy who likes to tweak ur phone daly then this is the one to go for..

Anapki, 16 May 2009on pictures, I see Iphone has brighter screenPeople always talk about the iphone killer... There will never be any such thing. People who buy the iphone are sheep (NO OFFENCE INTENDED) The fact is that most iphone users are just following the crowd or, are apple snobs. This phone on the other hand does what it says on the tin. It is a very functional, classic design handset aimed at the business user and I for one am in love with it. I have had the chance to play with it and cant wait for it's release.
Once again "Well done HTC"

Ibrahim Tamim, 09 May 2009is it's camera good!!!Just spotted this neatly tucked away as i am in n97 /5800 forums..This seems the windows version of n97..I am waiting to see how this fairs when released but need to start reading posts from beggining to get jist of things..Had xperia and htc touch plus few windows standard mobiles and plenty symbian but none seem to impress perhaps not in spec but usage in real life...The xperia in real life was only operable with spb shell making other 8 panels redundant,,plus the screen in kandscape mode using web gave very little viewing space and along with promised cybershot and walkman wich never evolved it was a letdown..
So a fone can have the big spec but its got to be usable on the move not just at home or sat in office..I often struggle trying to txt whilst walking and the qwerty makes a world of difference now you may say xperia had qwerty but it was near impossible to get an angle to see what you were typing,,it bleached out so keys were invisible, i mean who tests these damn expensive items..
We all argue about best operating system but what we are really doing is compromising and buying the best of what is available..I hope tho that the next few months start up a huge friendly battle between this and n97 and palm pre and omnia hd and android and supposed new i-phone,,,theres nothing like a good fresh uproar to spark off new interests in these new fones wich often brings about a lot of home truths...

Anonymous, 15 May 2009Question: Would it be safe to say that the only really noti... moreNo I would say the difference between the Touch Pro2 and the Touch Pro is more apparent in the software than in the hardware; though your right about the difference in the screen size and the keyboard. The new Touch Pro will have some incredible connectiviy tools for the business user such as the conference call feature. If you are in the business world, this feature should wow you. The ideal of being about to select 5 different people from you contacts and with one press of a button make a conference call with all 5. Even more impressive will be the ability to have all the threads and tools from one contact available on one screen. This feature out of all the new features is the one that causes me to regret getting my Touch Pro rather than waiting for the Touch Pro 2. So here is more detail. If I have a contacts information up, now can go from the history of the e-mail thread, text thread, and call history without having to move to close the call I am currently on or switch applications. I didn't do a very good job of describing it but when I saw the HTC demo in Barcelona it left me thinking, this is the coolest but most common sense approach to cell phones I had ever seen.

The larger resolution, bigger screen, better speakers, improved TouchFlo 3D do make this device even better than the Touch Pro - Now it's multimedia workhorse too.
But don't forget, WinMo means endless options, and this device makes them MUCH more pleasureful.
So, if you can, I beg you, for the sake intelligence, GET THIS AWESOME PIECE OF TECHNOLOGY!
Thank you.

Question: Would it be safe to say that the only really noticable difference between pro2 and pro is that pro2 has a larger screen(and is also bigger) and pro2 uses the screen tilt up?
if the price difference is more than about $100 would you say this phone would be worth the price?

The manual for the Diamond 2 is out and I don't see the section that shows the handwriting recognition and drawing capapbilities. On the touch pro, you can do this on the notes application.
Anyone know if the pro2 will have this ability? I would think it would for sure.
