The new qualcomm quad core krait cpus (APQ8064 @ 2.5 ghz) does NOT need more power and does NOT need a bigger battery. It'll consume less power because of their new 28nm manufacturing process and other technological factors...
The only thing I'm sure they won't do is clock it at 2.5 ghz, or even use the APQ8064 SoC at all (maybe they will for tablets though). They'll probably go with the dual core Snapdragon S4 MSM8960 krait @ 1.5 ghz. and if they do go quad core they'll probably underclock APQ8064 back to 1.5 ghz.

Just to add on to my previous comment... how about LTE? From me, 16MP camera maybe too much... 12MP is just nice. The spec shown here plus the card slot plus 12MP camera... mmmm... this should be able to kill iphone... :)

please and please htc company we are tied of seing phones without sd cards we use these phones for business and they sack alot on batery, so if u are in afix we only save data on an sd card that can be transfered to another device not to loose yo commitments. i used to be agreat fun of windows htcs like hd2 but ever since they blocked usage of sd card, to hell with them. iphones are very painful on data transfer.

AnonD-21645, 09 Jan 2012Is it a Sensation? or an Evolution? or a Desire?
The pro... moreOh my god, somebody quickly tell apple because the Iphone 4S looks IDENTICAL to the Iphone 4?! They're profits are in jeopardy!
I'm pretty sure their failing profits will be down to a number getting a Desire into a 12/18mth contract at release (easily the start of their massive demand) and then not being picked up by an HTC release. They really do need to line up their releases to UK/US Carrier contract dates. I.e. my desire runs out in March...will a quad-core be out by then? I'm certainly not going to get a Sensation XL not because of looks, but because it is dual-core, not native ICS etc....

oooooooh, I was told to wait until the next generation of phones from HTC. I was let on about quad core phones but didn't realise it was going to be nearly as quick as my PC!

Is it a Sensation? or an Evolution? or a Desire?
The problem with this phone...
It looks IDENTICAL to other phones in HTC ranges released over the past TWO YEARS...
This is precisely why HTC have lost 25% of their profits - every phone looks the same!
If someone showed you their HTC phone at arm's length without the screen turned on I reckon most people would struggle to recognise which HTC it is...
And that is a BIG problem for them...
Totally uninspiring - and no memory card slot? With all that HD content / Beats music etc.? RIDICULOUS. And let's not think for a moment 'cloud' storage is the answer - storage that will cost you money in data charges to access AND require internet connection - imagine how quick your battery would drain trying to stream stuff from the cloud...

Unfortunately, devices with Tegra 3(HTC Edge & HTC Zeta) will probably be announced on MWC 2012, not CES 2012. Too bad, I was really hoping that I will get this device soon. BTW, some people say that Gorilla Glass 2 will be announced on CES 2012. Could this device have it?
