Quad core processor might not be such a bad idea in a phone. You could underclockit and than potentially save batery...just a thought.

Dual Core can handle EVERYTHING. There are no games which need Quad Core on Earth! Dual Core can handle Starcraft 2, can handle Crysis 2, or other games as well. HTC wants to show their intelligence, and wants to be the first with a Quad Core. :D A Quad Core phone needs a great battery as well... This phone will be very expensive, around 1000 Euro.

laptops used to have this much power and they had huge batteries but a 1830 miliaper is like an AA battery

Anonymous, 16 Nov 2011No card slot? Is this beast has gorilla glass?It's too early, wait more, because we don't know the whole specs yet. Maybe that this is only a prototype. I suppose that it will have a Gorilla Glass display. They are not fool to make a super phone without Gorilla Glass. About the internal memory we can't be sure as well. Maybe that this will support a memory card, up to 64 GB(as I said earlier). Many smart phones can support 64 GB of SDXC cards. And if this will not support a memory card slot, then what's the problem? 32 GB isn't enough for you?

Well at least they're going head to head with the galaxy nexus prime on th OS. But having that much core power? It will probably drain the battery dry in an hour and half on standby and 30 mins on talk. If HTC will pursue with this design, they better juice up the battery. On top of that, hopefully, it's not going to be internal.

The specs on this phone is really awesome I must admit!But for heavens sake what sort of speed are they hope to get? Superman or the flash might have a hard time keeping up!:D

Stupidiy, why am i saying this? because what would you do with that quad core 2.5 ghz in your hands? at the end of the day, we know that mobiles were invented just to have conversations with our friends or relatives who are far away and shorten the gap of communication. its just that people want more powerful phones in their hands. rubbish, the excitment and zeal to play powerful and action games can only be witness on ps3 and or on our high end laptop.

I think that Dual Core is more than enough, and Dual Core CAN handle any games, any application easily. In the years of 2007, 2008, 2009 the "fight" was about the camera. In 2011 the "fight" is about the CPU, screen, Ram, internal memory.

lol, Quad Core for a phone...and 2.5 ghz at that. What is the use for that much power for a smart cell phone? That much power will require a really massive battery or else it will only be useful for like 1 hour. Really, what is the need for that much power. Its a cell phone, mostly going to be used for calls and internet browsing.
