Huawei applies for a SuperCharge trademark, Mate 9 might get quick top-ups
Huawei has applied for a trademark of the brand "Supercharge" in the EU. This action suggests the company will use a new fast-charging technology for its smartphone batteries in the near future. The Huawei Mate 9 is the most logical device to debut the new tech.
This is likely the same technology Huawei demoed at the 56th Battery Symposium in Japan last year. Back then, the company showed Li-Ion batteries that can be charged to nearly 50% of their capacity in just a few minutes.
We'll know for sure when the next Huawei flagship gets its announcement. Here's hoping that it happens at IFA in early September despite the indications to the contrary.

I used to think I'd buy huawei, but so far they insist on using their crappy GPU and raising prices. One plus and zte seem to be better choices, but we'll see.
