I hv this phone only 1 day and exchange.. my experience is this phone is bad. bcoz the battery. backup is not good and audio sound is not good. but camera is very nice screen is pretty goog. and one more thing when u using apps pho e will be so hot. ok

I am facing a software related issue in Huawei G600. I have just migrated from Huawei G300 to Huawei G600 smartphone. I got all the contacts from google account backup and restore facility when i switched from G300 to G600.
But now i am facing a very strange problem that in-spite of all contacts successfully downloaded and visible in my phonebook but when a person calls me the number is displayed in place of the contact name, the same is happening in case on incoming SMS.
I tried to get into the cause of the issue and got to know that the number in the phonebook are stored as "09812345678" or "9812345678" and the number displayed in incoming calls and SMS is with a prefix (+91) "+919812345678".
There is a serious issue / bug in the contacts handling of G600 wherein it is treating both the numbers as different.
I have raised a complaint at Huawei "Support" section at waiting for a reply / resolution.
After 1 day of usage i have noticed this bug otherwise every thing seems fine.
Also this phone comes with "Qualcomm MSM8225 chipset with Cortex A5 processor" not with "Qualcomm MSM8260 chipset with Cortex A9 processor" as quoted by some websites.

this is an excellent phone. I'm using it for a month so far with no problems at all. I can get three to four days of medium usage in a single battery charge and the phone speakers are really LOUD !!!!. The screen is very sufficient and responsive and has a very bright colors.
There's nothing perfect, The phone user storage space is only 1 GB, but this is what you pay for (799 SR in Saudi Arabia almost 220 US$). The 1 GB is enough to use the basic programs you may need (Facebook, Tweeter & Chrome are preloaded on the phone). There's one other thing that bothers me about this phone: the silent mode has two options Silent and vibrate. I have to choose Vibrate manually every time I turn the phone into silent from the settings menu or by pressing the volume rocker up. This is annoying to me 'cuase some times I turn the phone silent and put it in my pocket and when I check the phone after a while I find some missed calls. I do not know if this is related to ICS 4 or Huawei?? . If these two little things are not so important to you , go and buy your self one of those phones.

This phone seems to have been categorized as NFC enabled just about everywhere, but weirdly enouh, i cannot find any settings related to NFC in my G600. Even on the box theres no mention of nfc so i guess maybe only the chinese version comes with it or something.

yes dear there is not 4 gb space because 3 gb of 4 is use for system and any app that installed of phone so you see 1gb free to use
but in this cost we dont have a phone like that
i will buy it soon
but i wanna wait till G615 COMING.

device is great... i ordered it from flipkart and found all specs as per mentioned except for 1...
i noticed the device does not have a 4gb ROM as mentioned in each sites...
can any 1 please confirm...
all i see is 1gb of ROM

I got this phone delivered on 25th of Jan by flipkart.Overall a good phone for the given price.The screen in clear and crisp but also a fingerprint magnet.Dont know where ill be able to get a screen protector from.
What i really liked in the phone is the audio output through the speakers however the headphone offered along with this is just average.
It also have got good built and there are no creaks heard.But personally i would have preferred the black one but is not yet available in india.
Another thing that came to my notice is that there is no nfc support on the indian version.
And atlast talking about the battery,it gives an average perfomance and will last for a day before needing another recharge.
