This is really true. The keyboard only hangs when the phone is on Smart batter mode. I changed it to Normal and there are no more lags with the keyboard.

Had this handset for 18 months, never had a problem once!!! Best handset purchase I have ever made. Durable and great battery life, decent price cant pick a fault. Huawei user for life now :)

You should consider one thing before buying this phone . The keyboard lags and sometimes it becomes so uncomfortabe. This problem existed in KitKat and is still there in lollipop . Though it might sound a minor issue but it's not . I don't understand why they couldn't solve it in lollipop . That's why if marshmallow comes , don't expect it to be solved .

Dear friends. please dont try to buy this damn phone in ur life. its realy sucks. I am using this fone more than 10 months now. Its always hanging even contact list also invisible sometimes. I thougt huawei has better quality.We cant call sometimes. even keypad also hang.its worst fone ever in my life.poor processor,.only advantage is battery. video recorder is not good in weak light.

Official firmware Android 6.0 with EMUI 4.0 has been released for chinese g7's, so soon we gonna get Marshmellow too imo.

Updating is so easy . The update package itself contains the detailed procedure . The other crazy way is to flash rom which is for other build numbers . Well, some people have tried that and have experienced no issues . But from my experience ( as I tried ) there is probability of many bugs. I know kitkat itself in this phone has a lot of bugs . But there may also be heating issue or other things if you ignore the build number and flash it . Because when they design a rom they design it keeping in mind on top of which it's going to be flashed . I actually took another way . I flashed first the rom on top of which they advise to flash , then flashed the desired lollipop . And now it's fine ! But it's little risky , isn't it ? . You have all the story . And now take the decision . But one last thing , lollipop version is much better . Kitkat was also good , but it had some bugs which are not worth of forgiveness.
