I have the Huawei U8500 its very nice but if you receive a call during any thing else you are dong on the phone you have to wait not less than 1 min till it start to responce again, the camera is 3.2 but it is really bad compared by 3.2 of the nokia or even any other phone, finaly the battary its not more than 4 h using the phone you muast have a charger were ever you are
its really bad i don't want to try any huawei phone again

Can any P1 user comment on battery life with medium usage (WiFi, Sync-On, browsing, etc). Does it get you over 12 hours?

The international version works with the Gmail and Google play.
i use one and i am living in Nigeria.

i have the P1 and the Google PLay and GMail is working perfectly well.
May be u are domiciled in China where you cannot use the Gmail or goole play.

i just bought the P1 in China. Yes, it is an awesome phone.
I was disappointed to find out that you can't use Google Play and Gmail on the phone despite the fact that it is supposed to be running 'stock' Android 4.0. Have you got around this issue? Have you rooted your phone?
I would really like to keep this phone but may return it if there's no immediate solution...

I bought Ascend P1 about a week ago in China.
Price=3000RMB = 360EUR
Performance is v.good, it kills the iphone4s. The camera is fast and high-res.
Lots of crapware comes preinstalled, but easy to remove.
Design is good, the big screen is easy to view, good quality build. Battery life could be a bit better.
Overall an awesome phone!
