You cannot charge this phone while it is off. The phone starts itself when you plug in the charger.

I have had this phone for like two days. Bought it from Safaricom Kenya for KES 15k. The hardware is great but the OS sucks,you can't download Mp3s using the in built windows explorer, you can't set mp3s as ringtones. There is no option for locking the orientation to either portrait or lan dscape. No fm radio, too much scrolling...etc. If you currently own and android phone please don't buy this. Pros. Great battery life, supports both CDMA and GSM networks.

whats the difference btw huawei ascend w1 and huawei 4africa. could it be that the huawei 4africa is actualy using windows 7.5 while the other is windows 8. why sell this to africa.

Unfortunately, this handset may not recieve the GDR2 update, since, Microsoft were concentrating with the High end models, low end and low market windows phone 8 will be forgotten.

What is the difference between the huaweideviceusa to huaweideviceasia, in asia it says that the display has OGS technology but did not mention that it has a gorilla glass display while in usa it says that the mobile has a corning gorilla glass and did not mention the OGS technology, which of the two is reliable? Are they different companies or lack consistency?
