This is a really good phone and its able to run high end games, apps and it has great graphics. The only draw back is that the an official update to higher operating systems haven't yet been released. I'm pretty sure that as this phone gets more hits and as more people get interested in it, huawei will release either jelly bean or kitkat. This might happen when it gets a million hits or so hits

water, 21 May 2014Attually,am facing the same problem,am using huawei ascend ... moreTry the following: Go into Settings - Apps, then scroll across to the end, to "All".
I have the Y300 and most/all Android phones should have similar setup.
Look for & click on each app causing you problems, like "Messaging", "Phone". First try "Force stop" (ignore warning about misbehaving!, for now at least while you test it out). If you still find it's using airtime/data, then "Disable" it for the times not in use.
Can't guarantee it'll work 100%, but if it does, at worst it's an inconvenience, and at best, will save you your money spent on airtime / data.
Note that if you rely on incoming calls/messages on this as your PRIMARY phone, then I'd suggest not force stopping / disabling these things.
But if you want to continue using the phone for other apps not causing problems, then I suggest you use a cheap feature phone for calls/messages with your main SIM in, and this Y220 for the rest of services, like I do on the Y300.
Also, in Apps, under "Running", you can Stop "Messaging" for eg., etc. - probably less of a vulnerability than Force closing the app & it might work.

this bullshit, the screen, will malfunction in two months, it will be making calls on its own, sending messages on its own and all of a sudden BAM, no more airtym. when trying to type a, it will be touching on different. Dont even think of buying this stupid phone. too cheap for nothing
