seeking a huawei y300 on ebay for use in ja; like you but told by a digicel rep that for 3g data; they use 900 mhz and so the 0150 version is incompatible having 850/1900/2100(wcdma) while the 0100 is compatible cause it has 900/2100(wcdma).. pl confirm that yours is 0150 and let me me know if useage w data is good! nuff thanks

My y300 just cracked after a only less than two months without anything hitting it, not that I can remember. I am being told that warranty cannot repair physical damage. What can I do with a new but broken screan

I created a pattern to lock my cellphone, then later forgot how to unlock it. No matter how many times I try, I just can't figure out a pattern to unlock it. Is it possible to reset this phone?

Hello, Everyone! I live in Jamaica and I bought this phone on January 13,2013 and I have to say that this HUAWEI Y300-151 is the best touch screen phone I ever have and it still is the best! I have always hated touchscreen phones but not this one! And to me, this phone is even better than a Samsung Galaxy! This phone can do almost almost almost almost everything that a Samsung Galaxy can do as well! I spent less money for this phone and it can do very very more things than how much it worth! I can even play POKEMON BLACK 2 VERSION on this phone and it is very good! The pokemon game lags by a bit by bit by bit! But still, this is an awesome phone!

I let charged until it reaches 100%! however, it is a nice phone to have i dont see nothing wrong with it! jus try and put up with the charging light thing, u will get used to it in no time

You'd need to root your phone, put Google Apps on separately (I think?), then on Modaco website there are a number of custom ROMs, one or two of which are KitKat but said to be unstable, presently. I bought this phone earlier on this week, and the stock ROM with Emotion UI theme isn't too bad - better than I was expecting.

hi, my notification led light only light up when m charging the device. my friend also using the same model and he have the blinking led light to indicate the network signal and etc. so is there any specific setting i missed out? thamks.

I've had my y300 for 3 months and the usb port has become loose meaning that it doesnt always charge,i have to wiggle the usb plug into the perfect position to get it to work,i've not dropped it or anything and its not the lead cos i've tried 3 different leads and the port is visibly loose. Should the carphone wearhouse replace it as its only 3 months old?

Although most of the specs of your phone are better, even though an older phone. I'm taking this phone back this morning ; they'll probably exchange it for another new one of the same make/model, unfortunately. Guess I'll then need to live with whatever the new phone throws my way, for the next year or two!

Concerning your data issue, have you ticked only the option for "Use only 2G networks" - that's what I've done & so far it hasn't changed to 3G on its own. Try that if you haven't, yet.

I love this phone. Bought a week ago. One problem i face now is that the data switches on itself, even after i turn it of. I'm running out of patience and money. Somebody please give some suggestions. Its urgent. Thanks.

I bought a Y300 yesterday. One thing I've noticed is that when recharging & it gets to about 85 - 90 % full, the yellow light goes to green ie. before full recharge is reached; I'd of expected it to only turn to green once 100% charge was reached. Is this common with this phone, or a fault ? Please can someone advise, as I can still swop it for another new one until the end of this week.
