If the phone standard firmware is fine, why border upgraded or update them, the troubleshoot of the problem you have, its because originally the phone was programmed by one of the phone engineer who designate the technics works on that type of feature. and in North America frequency are difference signals, it may effected the signal in your device, you should do a little research "find more detail about firmware version compare the current you have before makes any newer firmware, that should correct the problems...

quality is ok, but yhe sound not good. if put some software for sound maybe your speaker not longer the life

Did anyone instaled a new firmware from Huawei site? I have problem that notifications bar dont work anymore, it cant even turn on from settings and the second is with the video recording...there is no option to set/choose the video quality.

hi guys.i am pravesh from mauritius.i love huawei y300.its a nice phone.use sound volume amplifier ,dowload it n install it on your mobile.the ringtone will become more louder.

its quite good this phone,the camera is impressive super cleard and it has flash..the features is also good,i haven't yet experience lagging in this phone,and i like the scratch resistant screen,,over all 100 %satisfied.

Open Dialer and type these....
*#*#4636#*#*
(I use these to lock 3g only)
a window will show up
select first one and scroll down
you can see 'wcdma preffered' or something
tap it and select wcdma only...
go to settings>mobile networks>tick 'use only 2g' to return from 3g only mode......

Hold the home buttom(the middle one;-)
And use the muff to clear everything and try opening the keyboard....

1. Turn off your Android Huawei Y300 phone or pull out battery and reinsert is after a fews seconds.
2. Press and hold both Volume UP + POWER buttons for about 15 sec. until Andorid recovery menu comes up.
3. Select Factory reset /wipe data. (scroll down with VOL down.)
4. Select with power.
5. Scroll down to Yes -- delete all user data. Press power to confirm.
After all is done press power to reboot system now.
After data wipe has completed you are done. reset Huawei Y300 done.
Or if your phone is responding to screen input, then open Settings from the Applications menu. Tap Backup & reset > Factory data reset; click Reset phone and then Erase everything to format your phone.

Firmware upgrade Huawei y300
Power off your phone. Copy the dload/update.app in the root directory of the microSD card. Insert it. Press the VOLUME UP and VOLUME DOWN key, and then press the POWER key to power on the phone and enter the Software Upgrade Mode. After the progress bar stop, the phone will restart.

plz help.. my son attempted too much wrong passwords to open the device but now their is no option for entering the pin code.. at the moment it shows me to enter gmail address and password.. i did accordingly but nothing happens... plz help me what should i do now,...
