Huawei Enjoy Z 5G brings 90Hz display, Dimensity 800 SoC and triple cameras
Last week Honor brought its X10 5G, an affordable handset with dual-mode 5G connectivity, 90Hz refresh rate screen and triple cameras. Now parent company Huawei is here with its Enjoy Z 5G which brings similar specs at an even more affordable price point.
The Enjoy Z 5G comes with a 6.57-inch FHD+ LCD panel with a 90Hz refresh rate and 20:9 aspect ratio. The panel also sports a waterdrop notch cutout for its 16MP selfie cam. The fingerprint scanner resides on the right-hand side of the frame.
Around the back we have a 48MP main camera alongside an 8MP ultrawide shooter and a 2MP macro snapper which can take shots as close as 4cm away from the subject.
The phone runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 800 chipset alongside 6/8GB RAM and 64/128GB storage which is expandable via Huawei’s proprietary NM cards. The software front is covered by EMIUI 10.1 which sits atop of Android 10. In terms of battery we have a 4,000 mAh cell with 22.5W fast wired charging.
The Huawei Enjoy Z 5G comes in black, blue and pink colors and is already up for pre-order in China. It starts at CNY 1,699 ($238) in its 6/64GB trim, there’s also a 6/128GB version for CNY 1,899 ($266) and a top of the line 8/128GB model for CNY 2,199 ($308).

So this smartphone with a MediaTek 5G chipset could come under 20k and it would be so good for the mid-range buyers.

I take it Kirin chips will only go into high end Huawei phones and MediaTek will go into everything else now. Which is a good strategy if your Kirin chip supply may be disrupted at any time.
