FreeBuds 7i feature 11mm quad-magnet dynamic drivers with improved sound tuning, which Huawei claims is more naturally balanced. The buds pair over Bluetooth 5.4 and feature Hi-Res Audio certification. They also support a 10-band equalizer for sound tuning, multi-point panning, and 360-degree spatial audio. In terms of audio codec support, you get SBC, AAC, L2HC 2.0, and LDAC.

FreeBuds 7i also bring an updated active noise cancellation (ANC) system with Huawei’s Intelligent Dynamic ANC 4.0. It features a new algorithm with a faster 0.5-second response time and up to 28dB average noise reduction.

FreeBuds 7i feature 55.5 mAh batteries in each earbud and a 510mAh cell inside the charging case. These numbers are identical to their predecessors and mean the buds will last for up to 8 hours on a single charge with ANC off and 5 hours with ANC on. Total battery life is rated at 35 hours of media playback with ANC off.
