Huawei Freebuds Pro 3, MatePad 11.5 PaperMatte Edition and Eyewear 2 debut
Huawei held a big event in Barcelona today where we got the latest smart wearables from the brand – the Watch GT4 series, Freebuds Pro 3 wireless earbuds and Eyewear 2 alongside a new MatePad 11.5” PaperMatte edition tablet with a focus on eye care.
Huawei MatePad 11.5-inch PaperMatte Edition
Huawei also announced a new version of the MatePad 11.5 featuring a new PaperMatte screen. The new nano-etched screen coating promises a paper-like feel with reduced glare, less eye strain and a more natural writing experience with the second-generation M-Pencil stylus.
The rest of the spec sheet is like before – the 11.5-inch TFT LCD features a 1440 x 2200px resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The tablet has a custom 4G Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset, 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. You also get a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front-facing shooter. There’s a 7,700 mAh battery with support for 22.5W charging over USB-C while the software side is covered by HarmonyOS 3.1.
MatePad 11.5 PaperMatte edition comes in Space Gray and will retail for €500/£400 starting September 19.
Huawei Freebuds Pro 3
Comings as a direct successor to last year’s Freebuds Pro 2, FreeBuds Pro 3 offer a dual driver system with promises for clearer treble and “booming base”. The latest flagship wireless buds from Huawei also offer a Triple Adaptive EQ for crisp sound and support for the LDAC and L2HC 2.0 Hi-Res audio codecs.
Huawei is also bringing an updated Intelligent Dynamic ANC 3.0 system with claims of even better noise cancelation and a new Pure Voice 2.0 mic system which promises to pick up your voice even in the most challenging conditions. Combined battery life is rated at 31 hours and you also get dual device pairing.
Freebuds Pro 3 are priced at €200/£180 and will be available from 11th October across European markets.
Huawei Eyewear 2
The last new addition in the Huawei wearable division is the Huawei Eyewear 2 smart glasses. These allow you to listen to music via their built-in speaker for up to 11 hours and feature interchangeable Zeiss prescription lenses. Eyewear 2 features a titanium frame weighing just 4.7 grams and offers touch controls on the sides.
Pricing is set at €300 and they will be available from October 18.

PaperMatte Edition has to be the dumbest release ever. Huawei must've been thinking we are stupid enough to not buy matte screen protectors.
