Huawei launches 1,000 Hours of Greatness contest to help you pursue your dreams

Enrique, 16 December, 2015

Huawei is going to help you chase you dream with this new contest. One lucky winner (residing within the 50 United States and over the age of 18) will be chosen and rewarded 1,000 hours of professional training in any field they choose.

Participants must submit a video or essay and say what they would do with 1,000 hours of practice in the field of their dreams. The contest is to promote the Android Wear-powered Huawei Watch.

The Chinese company has a video promo on its website saying that “this watch can teach you to speak German” or “this watch help you become a dancer” and “this watch can make you a magician”. The promo ends by saying “this watch can make you smarter by giving you time”.

Under the official rules and regulations, the award is capped at $70,000 or 1,000 hours, whichever comes first. Obviously the company will be involved in making sure the academy or school is legitimate and the people who are teaching it are accredited in the field.

If you would like to enter the contest, enter a short video or an essay and you can be chosen to follow your dreams. The contest closes on December 31, so be sure to get your videos and essays in over the holidays!
