I was finally able to buy this phone had to side load Google service. The process is not as hard as someone had experienced. I'm very happy with this phone after a few months of using it. It has great cameras and battery lasted me 2 days and I used it alot through out the day.

Samsung is not so great at photography; It's a mobile at the end of the day and not a DSLR. I just like to use the phone interface overall as a package.
Find what makes you happy and go for it. Huawei will not give you money for reading your post and neither Samsung. Peace

No gms? NO PROBLEM! I have a 2 phone, huawei p40 and samsung a51. If i want to shot moments and gaming, i using a Huawei p40 pro. If i need gms to watch youtube, netflix, and search google, i using a samsung a51.

Stop talking misleading info about GMS the world does not end up there just for 10 or some more apps, AppGallery , Aurora Store, Aptoid , Amazon - you name it - so not an excuse that there is lacking of GMS - not to buy the phone!
Just the opposite Huawei is above all! Period and whoever is not liking this is his problem!

Anonymous, 14 Feb 2021So do you recommend updating to it coming from my Mate 20 Pro?Better try the phone before you purchase it. see my other comments below too. Mate 20 pro has google service so you will lose that if you moved. The Huawei App Gallery is really not up to the required level. When you update the app, it is not as smooth as google play. I'm waiting for the Xiamoi Mi11 or the Mi 11 ultra once it comes. To be fair, the night shot without the night mode is good really. One advantage of Samsung recently is that the camera detects you are in night mode and asks you if you want to switch to night mode. The Mate 40 Pro has a very fast fingerprint sensor and iris scanner better than the Samsung. Alternatively, wait for the P50 pro if you like the Huawei.

My advice is to try the phone at a shop or with a friend who has it. I have already sold the phone and moved to S21 ultra after losing 30% of its value. The google service was really essential and unfortunately, I can't live without it. I hope people don't get offended as I'm not bashing the phone and rather expressing my opinion of it.
