Incredible phone hardware wise. It's the software concerns that hold many back. As long as the bulk of apps work, I would consider making the switch to this Huawei phone. There are Petal or Here WeGo Maps, the online Uber site, as well as others that can work as an alternative. My biggest gripe, however, is the price.

Anonymous, 23 Oct 20201200 euros ? and no google services ? no one will buy it .Just because you need Google to live your life, doesn't mean others do. Huawei has covered 90% of what is missing, with good services, almost better than google's.

no one will buy it .No Google services on board – even if there are workarounds and most apps will work, some won't.
First of all this device can probably get a Google Services installed by the end user, the work around is gonna take some time for people to figure out. (easier fix is VMOS emulator)
Second even with no GMS you can still use VMOS emulator and even without I found that most things I needed was working, only games and bank apps relied on GMS... The latter could also be done in browser so overall for anything but games this would do! :D
VMOS pros vs cons, VMOS only support up to Android 7 and some games may not function properly how ever most games worked with the exception of like 2... (one was requiring Android 9 and the other would not let me log into my account because bugs?)

According to reviews, hardware is top notch but all Google services are lacking so really difficult for everyday android users.
Kirin 9000 completely obliterates all pre existing Snapdragon 865 flagships. Phone has antutu score of 693K, while iPhone 12 will have score in the range 710-720k. Asus Rog 3 has 640K score.
Camera is the best found on any smartphone, completely destroys iPhone 12 cameras except for night photography, where it's not that good. Selfie camera is also top notch.
Speaker is best found on any flagships because of dual speakers. Display is top notch but limited to 90Hz , though has touch sampling of 240Hz.
Curved display though so not everyone likes it. Their smart display techniques are good though, specially that always on display smart mode.
Hardware is exceptional, some software tricks are good. But no Google services means really difficult to recommend.

Google knows too much about you already. It builds a profile based on your searches, Youtube views, email, and even your location history. No GMS should really be viewed as a clean break.

I wonder how come this pro model that is already expensive n 1 camera less than the pro + model don't have ois on main camera compare to its predecessor. Totally not acceptable!
